Best news this month! I can't wait to place my order when the preorders are all shipped.
 
That's great about them shipping! I wonder how many pre-orders they have and how long it'll take the get them all shipped???? I was near the end of the Starter campaign so I figure it'll still be a while for me...
 
That is sexy!!! I also seen that my 7/7 is next up in line to start production. I can't wait. Wish I knew a exact date so I could plan a trip. Guess I'll be camping in the back yard the first knight with her to ease her into her new home. :)

I am excited too. I have a 4.1 and 7/7 on queue so I should be getting them soon maybe in a couple of months or slightly more.

Neither...... as much as I want to have a GSO with the new heat treat and finish and ergonomics, I need to wait for my 4.7. Clearly I'm in the minority since the 5.1 is not at the top of my list :p

ESEE always has me thinking "venom green". That would look good! Red liners might not look too bad either.
 
Just saw an update to the production schedule!

Here is the production schedule, to give you a better idea of where each GSO model is at in the production line:

GSO-5: Sold out. Orders will be shipping out through early November.
Necker II: These sold out a bit sooner than we expected. There may be a few more in stock in a few weeks, after orders have been fulfilled.
GSO-5.1: The blades are in our workshop. We are starting to see handles for these, preorders will start shipping soon.
GSO-4.7: At heat treat
GSO-2.7: At production grinding
GSO-4.1: Waiting on extra sheets of steel, then getting cut
Once models start production they will no longer be available for preorder. Production will begin on the remaining models in the following order:

GSO-7/7: Up next for production!
GSO-3.5
GSO-12

I think the 4.7 is great. Honestly I am having a hard time deciding between the 4.7 and 5.1. 4.7 will be a little shorter I believe which is what I really wanted, but I too like having a choil so that's where the 5.1 comes in. Hard decisions! Maybe I will get whichever comes first, which from what I am seeing will be the 5.1.
 
If you snag a 5.1 and don't like it, you can move it in a heartbeat. Wait, whatever you do, under no circumstances should you buy any of the leftover 5.1s when they come up.......until I get one! :D

Yeah, pjandyho, I hear you. Don't tell her, but I have a serious concern that I'll love the 4.7 even more than my 5. Knowing the 4.7 could be my favorite knife ever, I feel good waiting for it. On the other hand, seeing everyone getting their starter 5.1's and experiencing the new ergos and finish while I continue to wait will make me absolutely boil with... with.......... happiness for them......

I understand there's going to be a substantial amount of leftovers for the 5.1 so I am certain we will all get one in our hands.

Just kidding with you a bit. :) It does sound like it's a big run. I'm not going to take any chances, though, when they hit the site I'm going to be on 'em like a hen on a grasshopper :D
 
Just hoping they cost at least 200, or over 180 anyway... If they are less than that I'll probably regret not picking one up for a while.
