current production schedule updates.

Just noticed that you guys are going to start carrying Silky saws soon.

Love my gomboy.

Yep! We have them, but we've been struggling to find time to get the pages finished up. I need Guy's input on a couple of the descriptions. Now that we are so close to flying out, we won't be around to fulfill orders. So I think they will get listed after we get back, middle of next week.

Well, he must have walked off in a huff already! He should've stuck around but at 7:03 it did show unavailable!
A huff? No, but I do feel rather foolish for trying to remain committed to the process. The only thing it did was take time away from more important things.

I tried to queue up an order this evening and nothing was available during my attempts. I'd like to buy a factory second 4.7 3V, but it's a challenge, for me at least, without any apparent consistency in when the production schedule updates are published.

Normally I try to have the Production Schedule updated by Sunday evening. This week was late. Around lunch today Guy asked me what time I was listing knives. To which I said, "We don't have any to list." His response was, "what about these?" Normally, I would have just saved them for next week, but we will be at a funeral next Monday so, ya. I will start setting an alarm to remind me to take some time on Sundays to check inventory.

There weren't very many of them this week, since these are still just blades we are coming across while fulfilling preorders. Once the preorders have all shipped, there will be a lot more available each week.

NetShocK,

You are probably going to have to try several more times and learn from each attempt, as you can see in the 4.7 thread, it has taken some people TONS of attempts to land one. If you are not interested in that, keep an eye on the exchange or the big auction site as they are going to start to show up more and more regularly. Don't give up, the competition for the blades only goes to prove how awesome they are. Monday sales are actually fairly tame to some others who use the same model. One popular maker in these forums sells in less than 1 minute and there is only 1 real way to get them, which if no one tells you will take quite some time to figure out.

Will firsts be available on Mondays or will those be available once orders are filled pending any left over?

Thanks Ellie!

Does anyone remember how they did this with 5.1'S?

I trust them to do what they believe is best, but I would think if they had firsts all sharpened and ready that they'd go to those who already paid for them. That's just my speculation though.

All 5 were gone in less than 25 seconds. I sh*t you not!

From my understanding the extra 5.1s were supposed to go to a dealer but he never got any.

On the 4.7, I agree, that's why I said after all the orders are filled. ❤️

I believe you. I developed my strategy which you implemented with success on the first attempt after watching many times. I never tried because I know I wouldn't have been successful and when I thought I could be successful I didn't want to win.

And I am proof positive that your method works and if you had tried, you would have won. That said, having an iMac (as opposed to PCs which can and will take a dump at the worst time) and TWC's fastest Internet service were also added edge and advantages!

I am in a different time zone and I don't like this Monday sale thing. When you guys start your day it's time for me to retire to bed. I keep missing the Monday sale and I am not liking it. I can't be there monitoring the website all the time. Maybe S!K can do us all a favor by blasting out an email to all the subscribers 24 hrs before the sale and telling us what time exactly is the sale going to be up? Personally I still prefer the preorder arrangement. I hope periodically that there will be another 48 hours preorder for us to get a shot at acquiring any models that we missed, especially for those who came to know S!K a bit late.

5 gone in 25 seconds....Impressive!
Were these the 5.1's or 4.7's?
Doesn't seem like many 4.7's out there for now...

I believe they are referring to NTM light choppers, I usually tune in to see how fast the choppers and field knives sell. Too fast for me but hope to get a chance to check out his knives at Blade.

Sorry Zak, we were OT'ing on that banter which indeed was about the Carother Light Chopper. That said, Survive! usually carries more that a handful of units on their Mondays sale and those sell out in a matter of a few minutes which is amazing in its own right. I wish that I had that "problem" in my business!

That is the plan. Once we have all of the preorders and presale orders fulfilled we will do a final inventory count and anything remaining will get listed.

There are a few GSO-5.1s in a box for Edgeworks, but Guy wanted to add some GSO-4.7s since we weren't able to get as many GSO-5.1s over to them as expected. Once we have that final inventory count done, that box should ship out.

Yesterday was just a last minute effort. Normally, I try to look at a mix of time zones to find times that work ok for everyone. When we start having some larger batches to list on Mondays I will be better about changing up the times. If it continues to be crazy each week, we will consider doing the 48-presale as a regular option. We will just have to figure out the best timing to minimize production frustrations.
