Hey Td, zulu and Dex- Thanks for the comments. The curvature of the blade along the spine to the tip is the same as my custom 7. The belly of the blade is shallower than the 10 and slightly more curved than the 7. I like the rampless design with my jimping for the various fighters I am making. I am working on the fighting 9 now. I will never get better than 80-85% use of my left shoulder, so I said to myself, just go for it and keep working. The major problem is the cutting down of the metal grip frame without compromising the strength. I decided not to cut as much away and go with a built up micarta handle. the other problem I had is the Becker logo is stamped very deeply into the blade. I like to polish the blade to a satin finish and have just the lettering contrasting in black. The amount of metal that needs to be removed would the be excessive. So it appears tha the B and the R in KA-BAR cannot be totally in outline form. The grind lines were not the best either. I straightened them out to where they look pretty good, changed the belly curvature and I am now convexing the cutting edge. That's about where my customizing work is now. The work on the BK10 was just to get moving again. There has been rain almost every week and I really want to get some fishing time before the weeds get overgrown. I've got to get on the water once in a while.
