custom shop has magnacut for 110, 112, 113, 119, 501 and 722

You guys think brass or nickel looks better with elk? I’m leaning towards nickel.

I prefer nickel for the simple fact that the nickel will not tarnish as easily as brass if the knife is left in the leather sheath for an extended period of time. I like the look of polished brass when it is shiny gold colored, but find that within weeks it turns orange which I don't like.

With elk, I'd say nickel. With wood, I like brass. And I guess I'm in the minority, because I like my brass without the shine, and a bit of color.

In the 112 a nickel frame was always harder to find and because I chased rare and odd I came to like them better.

Congratulations! We have four kids & our youngest turns 50 this year. They were all pretty close together, so we had four kids in their teens at the same time. There were two in particular that had me considering human sacrifice at the time, but they all turned out great.

Does anyone know what HRC Buck is running their Magnacut? The only listing I can find says 60-63 which seems like a huge window. I find Magnacut at 60-62 to be a different animal than at 63-64.

I called sales, and told the young lady that what I would really like to see in a 110 was a drop point blade option with that steel. She was coy, and said I should 'stay tuned'. She pointed out that the 110 did have a S30V option with a drop point.

Same here only with magnacut clip, I love Buck's clip points. I'm thinking 112 brass with palm wood or walnut, still undecided... or waterbuffalo.

Yeah. For Bucks, I prefer clip points, brass, and wood. But that's just me. Nothing at all wrong with the other styles, or materials.

I've been wanting a 110 in magnacut ever since the rosewood ones dropped and I missed out on them. I think I'm going to go with the elk and brass - nickel gets beat to hell too, it just takes a lot longer then the brass.
