custom shop has magnacut for 110, 112, 113, 119, 501 and 722

USPS says mine arrived in Spokane, WA this evening. It'll probably take the better part of a week to get here, though. I'm fine with that. I suppose I can find another Buck around here somewhere to carry until this one arrives. That's still almost a month before what Buck said the expected date would be.

Mine is also in Spokane. I was surprised they got them out so quick too. Not complaining.

I’m not sure how they do it but most orders from Buck make it to me in 3 days. They always have. So it’s scheduled to arrive Monday. Really looking forward to this one.

That sounds about right. USPS estimates Tuesday delivery for me, here in PA. This is my first custom Buck, and my first Magnacut blade. It's going to be put to work as soon as I get it.

Ditto.

I guess technically I have a MagnaCut blade on my Leatherman but that’s a whole different animal. It’s a long ways from a 110. If it works well, I may have to order a matching 112 as my “Sunday go to meetin’” pocket knife.

Maybe the 112 will be available from the Custom Shop soon. I'll be jumping right on that one too. I've really come to like the size of the 112 for every day carry.

Agreed. I will order one in Magnacut as soon as they come available.

Hey, I just pulled this out of the mailbox. It came early! 15 days from order date to the mailbox!

Not the best pics, but try as I may, I can't find anything wrong with it. Everything's tight, the fit is excellent, no blade wobble, etc. Even the edge is pretty darn close to what I like, which is rare for new knives. I just need to put some Obeanuf's or Snow Seal on the sheath, (I haven't decided which yet), Not a priority right now though.

It can happen but it seems to be pretty rare. Perhaps you missed this post from a few weeks ago.

Yeah that was me and mine, sad thing is after I got it back from Buck warranty , about a week later the other side popped off
while I was using it. I was whittling some soft pine wood and it made a pop cracking sound and like the glue just let go. I could feel a gritty fine sand in my hand with the expelled ebony scale. I was pretty disappointed and sad.

Today I got a chance to work on it and decided to fix it myself. I have it clamped and waiting for the adhesive to cure as we speak, or type that is. Lol I’m wondering if they had a bad batch of glue or maybe it got past it shelf life. The old glue or epoxy was very brittle and probably didn’t have much flexibility. I guess I’ll find out how well my fix is.

After having two scales pop off real easily I’m thinking I like having rivets and glued on. I don’t mind rivets and actually like them better than plain handles. I think it gives them a little glitz.

I don’t know but it could be the glue or resin was bad or contaminated or something. I have some other Bucks that have no rivets and they are all good.

I always choose rivets in the Custom Shop but it’s an act of paranoia. I can’t stand the thought of handle slabs or shields falling off.

Never had it happen to me on other knives without rivets, thank goodness.
