No, apparently not. They don't offer it on the website.

If you have a legit order in I suspect they would honor it in some way, but I more strongly suspect a failure of communications between or among, you, your dealer and Buck.

You should contact Joe Houser (click on his name on one of his posts) directly and ask about this.....if you paid your dealer you probably have a refund coming from your dealer in Vienna.

I tried to write my displeasure as respectfully as I could and still get the point across that I'm pissed by their (BUCK'S) actions. I think MR. CJ Buck owes his companies' biggest fans an explanation. It's MY impression that the company does not show us any respect by hugely raising prices w/out an explanation.

Like I said on another post.....if they had given us a warning--I'd have ordered a damascus MOP and several other knives.

I think a lot of others would have as well.

Resulting in chaos and a backlog for several years of Custom Shoppe work.

So......what do you think?

They probably could have done better, but.....no reason for you to get quite so nasty.

I don't disagree, I think if they would have come on here and explained the plan to increase prices dramatically, it would have seemed a lot more professional. However as someone else mentioned, if they would have given warning of this happening, they would have been flooded with orders from everyone trying to beat the price increase..
However for those of us that spend a lot of time on here, we are just a very small segment of the Buck business. For the Bucks it may seem trivial compared to dealing with large chain stores, overseas manufacturing and other things. Like everyone else, I'm not happy either..
 
let me tell you a story about Joe. Awhile back I ordered a limited edition
124 stag handle I was not happy with the stag I e-mailed Joe he offered
to handle my displesure personally.He offered to make me a new knife
and destroy my old one just to satisfy my problem.I knew the knife I would of
got back would of had the sharpest looking stag I had ever seen. I never sent that
knife in and every time I dust it I think that Joe houser and his offer. He is a class act.

Just some sort of "hint" would have been fine with me.

Or the price increases to the current levels could have been done incrementally.

Something other than this "2 X 4 to the head" approach.

Look, it's Buck's business. In my view they made a mistake here.
Businesses make mistakes.

There are obviously those who will disagree and that's OK.
 
:cool:...Joe's been dealt a really "suckie" hand by all this. If ever there was a guy who's walked that extra mile for all of us time and time again it's been him. I, as well as many of us, have been fortunate enough to have Joe show his thoughtfulness and generosity to me on many occasions. No matter where this whole episode eventually ends up...it will end up there, I know, with Joe fightin' for everyone of us in the best way he can...:cool:
 
I feel that (at least) the BCCI members should have had a "heads up" on the dramatic price changes for the Custom Shoppe. I feel very sad they are priced out of reach for so many.

It is somewhat comforting that Joe feels our pain.

if’n ya had intended your 2ed post to be true your first should have been only what I quoted ya…
the rest of what ya said was not worth your time at the type wrighter and neather were yo 2ed post worth it as ya is lieing like a tick infested dog that ya ment to be respectfull..

Not ..ya gots one knife from buck and it is a AG ya put a clip on and said that is how it shoulda come from the custom shop! And like YO ya put a clip on a 560 or a 110 ya don’t realy need to ask if ya can have a warrenty … if you knew any thing ya did not need to ask…

That thar petty much summed it up for me too!!!You really got no right to talk about Joe like that,if you had 2 clues of what Joe has done for customers not only here ,but in every part of the world,you'd soon be eating your words....what next,maybe put MY jar down fer a bit of e spella
 
Everyone who frequents this forum knows Joe Houser is a gentleman. I have had numerous occasions to deal with Joe, both privately and as a representative of Buck Knives. Joe is straight aces. Numerous events of helping collectors; getting the knife they want, getting the knife they wanted to appear the way they had envisioned it, finding lost parcels, finding obscure information, and the list goes on & on.
Anyone posting anything negative about Joe, deserves all of the wrath Daves' jar induced state of mind can conjure, and then some.
