Custom Slipjoints

Jim, I believe the 5 signifies the steel Jerry used for this knife...CPM 154 CM. It's sharp I bet!

Here are a couple of ivory/damascus upscale slipjoints Don Hanson will be toting down to Atlanta this week:

Here is a whittler that I will be picking up from Johnny Stout on Friday.
If you have not handled one of Johnny's recent multiblades, you are in for a very pleasant surprise.

No sure who is getting the Dr knife, but they are going to be happy too.

Gus, does that Doctor's pattern have tortoise shell scales? That whittler is very nice. JB

Nice knife Don. That is going to make a good friend of mine VERY HAPPY. :D.
I will wait until he pays you for the knife. Then I'll bop him over the head and take it as we discussed.

Have a safe trip.

JB not sure if it is antique shell or some type of imitation.

No offer of trade here, not sure I ever posted in this thread my Halfrich, so here she is, as requested. Not sure of the steel but it does have #5 stamped on tang.

5 is definitely CPM 154. (A is AEB-L, D is D2 and D with a dot is CPM D2). I'm pretty sure that knife is the first he made with integral bolsters. If so, it was mine once upon a time.

Wow! You guys are showing some killer knives here lately.

John T, that is a sweet looking Erickson. And Jim, the Halfrich is a beauty for sure.

Darwin, what's are the scales made of on that large Cover? (btw, Darwin, I came real close to pullin' the trigger on that large Joe Allen you had up, I'm surprised it lasted that long there. Don't think it would have if it weren't Blade weekend now.)

Darwin,
Code:
I picked this one up from Ray yesterday. It is exactly 9" open, 5" closed

I have to say when I saw the picture of That Ray Cover I was taken aback! I love the blade shape and grind for a knife such as this. Overall, I think its my favorite Ray Cover.

That ain't no "traditional" knife!

Luckily for you guys I'm too tired to take you both to task! :p

See what happens when you leave and let the kids play alone!

Glad you made it back safe and sound!
