Custom Slipjoints

Dang one handed openers.

Let's keep it clean in here :D.

Erick and JB,

That swayback looks great.

JB,
Talked with Johnny, it is antique shell.

Gus, I saw it on his table at Blade, but Johnny was busy with a customer. He had some sweet knives. Thanks, JB

As far as established makers that I have seen getting on the traditional trail recently, Johnny and Mike Zscherny have hit the ground running as far as their quality.

After the show booty.

Great Grab, Gus! What a Beauty, Mike! Perfect image, Jim!
Thanks for sharing, Gus!

Gus, I am really liking the slipjoints coming from Mike. And, a Coop image is the next best thing to being there.

The next best thing to not being able to attend Blade this year is to pick up a slippie that was there:

I really like Mike Zscherny's slip joints. Coop also took a picture of a swayback and back pocket that Culpepper snagged at Blade.

Joe, I had the Halfrich shadow in my hands several times at the show. I'm glad you ended up with it.

Thanks again Mike! :)

I owe you a big favor - was so impressed with Mike Z.'s work that I ordered another one on Friday morning at Blade for next year.
I had always admired his work on upscale folders and he just brought along his talents into slip joints. Fit/Finish and action is superb on his work.

Heck, Gus. I had just met him a little bit before you did. It was good that he stopped by Tony's room so we could all CE and CF his knives. I'm glad you got one. I really like the swayback of his that I got.

I'm on Mike's list as well. I can think of one other BF member who recently scored Zscherny knives. Maybe he'll post them in here.

I just went back an looked at all the knives in this thread! My eyes are watering, and my head is spinning; this is just an incredible collection of traditionally-styled handmade beauty!! What a rich history of knifemaking, in such a short time. It seems like Blues just started this thread a couple of months ago; I just went back and looked. It's about six months.
We must preserve this thread for our rocking chair days!!

Mike

Guess that this may be a hint for me to get off my duff and post that great little gem that arrived in my mailbox after Blade!

Its truly a gift to have friends like you and Master Culpepper!!!

As a bonus, i am also posting a second from Mike Zscherny that i was somehow connected to by a fellow with the initials MR?

Both knives are fantastic examples IMHO opinion of a knife maker who is really producing some terrific knives.

Great looking knives Rick, now go get a cloth and get the fingerprint off that stag shield. Great pics too.:D
Jim
Just kidding, I hope to goodness that shield is not ruined forever, why not just send it to me, I will clean her right up.
I will even pony up for the postage.

I was clutching it sooo tight for sooo long that the finger prints are embedded in the shield. When i can afford postage, i am sending it back to Mike for a buff job!
Nice to be able to count on you to be a wise guy;)

Some awesome knives being displayed in this post-Blade extravaganza!

A veritable bevy of beauties.

I had to shake that black bone knife off of my hand at Blade. That teardrop is drop dead gorgeous too. Thanks for posting 'em.
