That Teardrop Wharnie is awesome! That's now my favorite pattern. I'll need to find one of those. Congratulations!

Here is one on the way from Mike Alsdorf.

Nice looking knife. What are those scales? I recently received a Doctor interframe with MOP from Mike and it is a wonderful knife. I'm considering one with Black lip pearl as a companion piece.

Hi Lanza,

The scales are stag and it is the first one he has done in stag.
Knowing Mike a little and his work, the pic does not come close to doing it justice. :D.

Just got this little beauty in from Rob, he remembered I wanted it and gave me first dibs, thanks Rob, I do appreciate it.
Satin finish ATS-34, about 3 5/8 inches, stainless bolsters engraved by Bruce Shaw. I believe Ray made two sizes of canoes with this being the smaller one.

Jim,

Love that engraving! I think when engraving is done right as is the case with this one, it really adds that little bit of "IT" to the knife.

Thanks for sharing.

Ken

Thanks Ken, coming from you means a lot to me. Here is the other Cover canoe that is his brother.
Same size, just different scales. Similar Engraving.

This knife is 3-3/4 " closed, sports a 3" (tip to scale) ATS-34 ss blade ,with a real nice swedge & hand rubbed satin finish.Older antique bone from a German knife Co.,look at that stuff!Nice spring tension, she "walks n talks",half stops, too.Milled from one piece,ss bolsters &liners are relieved.John Howser makes a real classy slipjoint, but this model he has is a great EDC pocketknife.Right out of my pocket today for some quick non pro shots for you all,and to add to this thread. Please excuse the shadows on the bolsters
Enjoy the pics,
-Vince

While we are on John Howser slippies, here is another one for your viewing pleasure, it was a gift from a real knife Khnut and Forum Friend for my Christmas present, walks and talks just as described by VCM3 who does a much better description than I will ever do.

Vince, that is a beauty. The jigging on that bone is really nice, as is the color. I like the swedge work and the fit and finish appear to be top shelf. Great photos also amigo. Thanks for sharing that one.

Jim, that is a sweet one. Love the stag on it. Is it about the same size as Vince's?

Ford,Jim's is the 4",the bone one I posted is 3-3/4".John just recently started offering that slightly smaller model to his lineup
The blade style & handle combo just make for a really nice all around-er

Thanks, but I think Vince hit the nail on the head, Mine is the larger, Hey, but my pockets are bigger, they have to stretch around that 64'' waist. So I can carry larger EDC's without a problem.;)

I've been buying and using lockbacks for the past few years and actually have a Sebbie 21 on order, but when Ken Coats put this knife up for sale last night I couldn't resist. I wanted a Swayback with jigged bone and a Wharncliffe blade at a price that wouldn't deter me from EDC. This is going to replace the Spyderco that I have clipped into my jeans watch pocket. Can't wait to get it.
Photo is from Ken's "For Sale" notice:

Great Score there! Ken did a beautiful job on the jigging and the whole knife just Rocks.

Got this one in this week, it was one of four Keith used in the judging process of becoming a voting member of the guild. He told me that all four were rated excellent. I am well pleased with its walk and talk, can't deal with a nicer maker.
