Death Chat!!

Believe me, I've been trying to persuade her for a while now.... It's an emotional response thing, logical arguments don't work.

Here is my advice. It is always easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission when it comes to these sort of things ;) But seriously, I personally will not allow anyone to stop me from doing anything I believe in. I believe in the right to bear arms and the right to self defense.

Maybe we can have a group outing to the range next time. I will bring out some fun 22lrs for you GF to try out. Good time to take my GF out to the range as well :)

Wish I could make the Sunnyvale meeting, but I won't be getting back down the peninsula in time.

Yeah, I know, I'm almost to that point. I don't have enough money for one anyway (need to stop buying knives and gear), so for now, it's been all talk. Still trying to get her to come around to my way of thinking first. Part of that is getting her out to the range with me one of these days. If I can get her around to my side, even if only grudgingly, that'd be much better than having to bulldoze her on it (I don't sneak). After more than 6 good years together, and with both sides feeling strongly enough about the issue to have it potentially be a "deal breaker", it's not a situation to take lightly. I WILL get a gun. No way I'd marry a woman and have kids with her if I couldn't protect myself and my family. But it'd be a shitty deal to lose a really good thing over a gun I might not ever use on another person....

hahah i like that!

the SD and SHTF talk worked on my GF for my first gun, but it stopped when I had more guns than hands lol.

Yeah, don't mess up a good thing. I agree with Ban, we need a group shooting with the significant others. My GF is actually a better (more consistent) shooter then me. Turn it into a competition and I'm sure she'll enjoy it.

I'm really looking forward to the kel-tec bullpup ksg shotgun. It's a little too tacticool, but I like it. I'll wait to see how the reviews are, but currently it's a tossup between the ksg or rem 870. A side by side for hunting/clay is up there on my list too...

I love the feel of the oem black rubber grips, but these Nill Griffe grips are damn sexy...

But $123 + shipping is steep just for an aesthetics upgrade. Rather spend the money on ammo, but tough to resist the same time...

I thought this was a pretty cool picture giving props to the new Captain America movie, in which he does use a 1911.

Definitely, not worth losing a good thing over something that you WILL eventually get ;) Lets set-up some Couples range time. Mrpink and I can bring our SOs. We can plan a trip to Los Altos Rod and Gun up in Skyline Blvd and then head out to lunch or maybe even have a little BBQ or picnic somewhere nearby afterwards.

I fondle various guns at home but a 1911, CZ P-01, and G19 is never too far away.

Two 1911's & a Shotgun ...till the ammo runs out ! then I break out the BLADES!!

Nice saiga 12! That will do the job. I've always wanted one of those. What is your blade of choice for zombies when you run out of ammo?

I know we'll be having friends from out of town over one of these July weekends, I'll look into when exactly. Couple's range time would be awesome

Now I'm going to go peruse all the gun threads again :D Ban, I think you should start a "Guns and Blades" eye candy thread.

I dropped by the my buddies new gun shop today, Metal Dog Tactical, just off north first st near the airport. He finally got all his paperwork sorted out for his FFL a few weeks ago. He only has a handful of firearms so far but hes just building his stock. From what I saw good prices too, better then Reeds not to far away. Only 1911 I saw was a Rock Island, had a brand new Sig 225 for $750. Forgot to ask what hes charging for transfer fees.

Sounds good man! Let us know. I blame Mrpink!!!

Need to check out his place when I get a chance. Is he the same guy that was selling the bullet buttons for ARs online?
