Looks like I am not making it. Family was flying united, and were supposed to be here Sunday. They finally showed today. Next time hopefully. You guys have fun.

mtnfolk, happy birthday!!

Oh hey look at that, I do have a Bladeforums account. Can't keep track.

Anyway, nice to meet you guys last night. I was the guy with the Filipino blades. I've known Ban for a decade or so via the rifle club but he'd been hiding his blades from me so I had to check them out in person last night. Saw some awesome work last night and my wallet hates y'all for it.

A couple of you guys were asking about Inayan Eskrima. Our website is http://www.inayanmartialarts.com

Classes are Tuesdays/Thursdays starting at 8:15PM at West Coast Martial Arts (668 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose, CA 95126) & Saturdays starting at 10:00AM at Applied Self Protection (3327 Edward Ave. Santa Clara, Ca. 95054). I'm on hiatus right now but if you're interested in training, I or Hai (who was also there last night), would be more than happy to show up and grease the way. As I mentioned, the emphasis is on blade and knife and empty-hand translations. There's a few videos of Inayan Eskrima up in YouTube from our various groups around the world if you want to get an idea, but the best thing to do is just show up to class ready to train. It's free to try and we will provide the gear (training knives, sticks, boxing gloves, etc.) until you get your own. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions.

Yes, it was great seeing new faces  I wonder how long you "new to Ban's blades" guys can hold out before picking up some BT goodness :D

Thanks for the link to Inayan Eskrima, A. Are classes only held at the San Jose locations?

ETA: Btw, the Panabas and Gununting were definitely cool to check out

haha, sounds brutal, good luck.

nice looking tattoo so far, looking forward to seeing it complete.

Right on Mike! I'm looking forward to seeing it done too. I've got two so far...if I get another, it'll probably a more traditional hawaiian leg sleeve type tatoo.

Take some pics of the mural!

Mmmm...topped the chilli with some cheese and sour cream + freshly baked corn bread.

Conclusion, I NEED A SANTOKU!

Damn that Chili looks freaking delicious!

Based on the evidence you've presented, although the pikal did suffice, I'd say your conclusion is valid. :D

I arrived at that same conclusion a few weeks ago, although I was using my Ti Necker and not my pikal :)

Hmm...i've been itching for a 1911 badly. Going to have to pick one up this year to celebrate it's 100 year birthday. I want solid platform I can slowly upgrade overtime, but the prices of the RIA ones are so damn attractive.
