Death Chat!!

Got enough excitement for the day. The homeless guys behind the shop accidentally started a fire and it was slowly burning through the sheet metal fence reinforced with wood. My futile attempt to slow down the fire with a little water hose was comical at best. The fire extinguisher was also a joke.Luckily the fire dept showed up minutes later with some serious water hosing. I am now covered in black soot. Had a respirator on and it helped a great deal. I always keep a half mask respirator with a fume filter in the trunk just in case. But the smoke was killing my eyes as I was trying to hose the fence down. Now I need to look into some good goggles.

Good thing the shop survived, including my presious thing :0)

Smart to have a respirator. All homes should have it, since it's the fumes that kills.

Give me a week and then I'll be trained to fight fires (not a firefighter) once I'm done that feel free to give me a call and I'll put a fire for you (just give me a week or so of travel time). I just finished up flood training today; a burst pipe with 150-400 psi of cold ground water spraying out of it is not the most pleasant thing in the world. I'm just happy I had an immersion suit, ear protection and safety glasses on.

Damn! Well, looks like they turned out to be more than harmless after all. I'm glad you were there to catch it in time and call the FD. Crazy.

Wow, that sucks, good thing the FD is down the street.

Know that big field behind my place? One year it caught on fire really really bad, it literally made made its way to the wire fence. All my neighbors including me were in the backyard hosing for hours. It was the most firefighters I've seen together at once. Luckily the wind shifted and went parallel to the houses, giving the FFs enough time to control it.

WTF?? damn hobo's are getting crazy now.. glad everything worked out okay Ban..

i bet Lucky was going crazy...:D

Yeah those guys are getting out of hand back there. Use to be only 2 or 3. I must have seen about 15 of them all out there today. Lucky always goes ballistic when one of them walks by.

Wow, sounds like you and the neighbors got really lucky as well.

It sounds like you need to call the police more regularly to complain about them.

Your business almost was burned down, they should not ignore you when you call.

You could also figure out exactly who is responsible for that land and threaten legal action if they don't do something to remove the vagrants.

That sounds like a good deal. As usual, it's the time factor for me. I barely have time to get out and run when I get home....

I like your stuff alot Ban. Personally I think widening and lengthening the handle a bit will make for a more secure grip on a really hard reverse grip jab. I don't have large hands and there was some space between the scales and the top part of my palm that I couldn't quite take up, especially with the flat handle stock. I think this modification will solve that problem nicely.

Well done!

Ok, ok, how about these...

Made a sheath for the BT6 variant and got the Small Bowie and Clip Point BT4 ready for etching and handles.

I made a slightly larger handle Pikal based on feedback from a customer and Southnarc. I still prefer the 3rd gen. But the newer one in prototype phase may be the ticket for guys with bigger paws.

Southnarc, great to see you on ban's forum! I've seen your Reverse Edge Methods DVD and it's very good material!
