Ok, back to your regularly scheduled firearms programming :)

Damn! Those are some pretty massive tomatoes. Need a Santoku to slice'em up? ;)

I've been on a leather boot binge lately while you guys are buying up hawks and guns. My current favorite is the Frye Phillip Oxford. I liked them so much that I had to buy a side zipper version.

Yep. Love the first one "Day by Day Armageddon" and the follow-up "Beyond Exile". Looking forward to book 3 called "Shattered Hourglass".

Could not get enough of "The Walking Dead" on AMC - they did a great job on it. Haven't read the comic book though.

I'm a sucker for a good TEOTWAWKI scenario involving zombies. "World War Z" was also good.

Nice pic of the book with "accessories".

Im always looking for a good zombie or apocalyptic book to read. Just read two Star Wars universe books, Death Troopers and Red Harvest, both involve zombies.

Yeah, looking forward to the 3rd installment of Day by Day Armageddon as well. World War Z was fun, but you really owe it to yourself to read the Walking Dead Comic if you enjoy zombie material. The TV series is good, but you can't beat comics. The comic has been going on for years now so you can purchase the volume books for pretty cheap on amazon.

hahah, that sounds fun!

You know I do! Soon, I'll be getting some awesome BT kitchen cutlery. Backpacking gear has wiped me out recently....

Boots eh? You have a boot collection going now? Pics!

I love zombie and post apocalyptic books too. Give the older ones a look too (Lucifer's Hammer, On the Beach, 'Alas, Babylon', I am Legend, etc). As for modern zombie fiction, I loved World War Z. I didn't expect it'd actually be that good. Still have to read day by day armageddon and the Morning Star Strain series. Oh yeah, one of my all time favorite post-apocalyptics: The Stand (while you're at it, read the Dark Tower series and IT). The walking dead gnovels were good, but I wish the issues were longer and the characters fleshed out better.

Star Wars and Zombies! What!? I'm looking that up! :)

I have a copy of Lucifers Hammer but didnt get past 50 pages, Ill pick it up again one day. If you like the older stuff like On the Beach and Alas Babylon, trying looking up Earth Abides. Written in the 50 and takes place mostly in the SF bay area.

Too many books, not enough time to sit down and read. I'm still working on The Count of Monte Cristo, 1300+ pages and I'm only on page ~500. Just got Bruce Lee's Tao of Jeet Kune Do too. All these other post-apocalypse and jedi sword wielding zombies sound very interesting too.

Yeah, Earth Abides was good, if I recall correctly. That was a post-plague one wasn't it? If not, I'm thinking of another. I think I read it before I moved to the Bay Area though, otherwise I'm sure I'd recall more specifics. Read some of the other stuff more recently, so they've stuck around in my head a bit more. Lucifer's Hammer starts off slow, but it does get better (when you pick it up again)

BTW, checked out Zombie Strippers (starring Jenna Jameson) a few years back: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0960890/.

TERRIBLE movie despite how awesome it sounds.

Haha, I wondered about that movie. Glad to be spared disappointment!

Here's a quick update on my cs hawks:

Both have been stripped and the spike hawk has gotten a partial convex and rough satin spike. Only had a small amount of time to work in the garage so didn't get too far but it's a start.

Also, the handle that came on my trail hawk was great, but the spike hawk handle was terrible. Sent a quick email to CS and they're sending me a new handle asap.

Dang dude! Looking good!!! Might farm mine out to you if you'd be game :D

Still gotta pick up a spike hawk....
