December 2021 BOTM?

Well it’s Christmas and I do like it all around and checked off the boxes. It’s steep but I got a lot of extra overtime last weekend. So I pulled the trigger after logging in 3-4 times lookin at it. I’m not that easy but I’d probably kick myself later for not getting one. 😆

After recently digging out my dad’s beat up 112, receiving a custom 112FG from Buck, and getting a previous BOTM 112 from another member, how could I pass!

If there was any further justification needed, my dog’s name is Koa.

I must be nuts…I bought 2 of them….
banking on I can sell one for at least for what I paid if needed down the road..
man..Koa, sv45, takeapart construction… that is a pretty unique combo

need to sell some guns or silver coins now…just sitting in my safe and not being used…to pay for this…just trade one asset for another….that is my enabling logic…one in..one out..
sold a few knives today and justput on my Doug Ritter Houge for sale..
I will make it up one way or another…I have too much stuff..

I couldn't resist ! As you said, a really unique combination.

With the 50th Anniversary of the 112 next year - this knife will at least satisfy me if I am unable to get one of the other rare 112's that come out in 2022.

I had been thinking about the 2021 Legacy take apart 110, but I really don't like marbled carbon fiber. And compared to this 112 BOTM, being only 500 produced, the extra $50 is worth it. I assume more than 500 of the 110s will be made this year.

The Koa wood seems to be really nice looking with variation in the grain / patterns from the pictures I googled. Plus, I prefer nice wood to almost any other handle material.

S45VN steel - "improved corrosion resistance and edge retention" over S35VN. https://knifesteelnerds.com/2019/11/01/crucible-s45vn-steel/

Take apart construction (will go nice with my BOTM 112 take apart I already have - the first 112 take apart). I believe ? this is the 2nd Buck 112 take apart ?

Beautiful knife, I love it! But as others have said, I'm not seeing a $250 knife...? And 500 made? So I'm not even sure the aftermarket will be there at that quantity. If it was 150 made or even 250, it seems like it would have more collector value.

Screw construction is nice, too, but Dee Yam.
