not sure if i'll keep it but for now it's cool.:D

I had my son do a cobra stitch guard for my NMFBM LE. The twist is I got some round leather cord to do it with. I like the way it turned out and it should match the sheath nicely as well(when it arrives).

Here is my attempt after reading this thread ages ago :)

Sorry I don't have a close up, so this photo will have to do.

I know some guys have said on the choppers that it's a nice knuckle guard when they are hacking through brush :)

I have my first Busse on its way to me (BWM) and I want to add a D-guard. I'm basically a knot noob so I need to find out how people are tying off on these things. Could someone explain how to finish the guard with an appropriate knot? Thanks.

Chris.

I'll have to do some looking later on for something. I tied mine off by just clipping and burning the ends flush. You could do a turks head knot or something of that nature. Stormdrane has a great blog on knots as well ( http://stormdrane.blogspot.com/ ).

Thanks mate. Will start practicing some of the knots in those links. If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Chris.
