My 16 got a little rusty on a Beach/Rainforest trip. Gotta clean her up a bit this weekend.

Upgraded the BK16 to slotted brass hardware for under $3. The nuts are 8/32 and bolts are 8/32 x 1/2" long

I like the idea of slotted hardware. I always have my farmer on me in the fireld and it would be nice to tighten the scales as needed.

Exactly. That's the main reason why I upgraded the hardware. I always have my Victorinox Huntsman on me....and/or my SOG Powerlock

My new Bk16. Stripped, scale spacers, SS hardwear, vinegar then mustard treatment. I still have to trim the new SS screws but so good so far. First post as well. The hard part is not going out and buying another project now...

My 16 and my wife's 15. Been saving this 16 in a drawer till I got these scales. Most comfortable knife I own now.

Oregon Fa'ler. He's the man! He puts in so much time hand sanding into each set, they are absolute perfection. My crapy iPhone pics do them no justice.
