Deja Vu all over Again!!

Thank you, Short Beak is the name I couldn't think of. It looks like a long coping blade to me.
I wonder if the curve in the blade is original , or the result of use and sharpening?

"Coping with Age"
"Ancient Bend"
"Real Something Knife"
😁
It's actually a curved Blade; it follows the handle nicely It lost a couple thousandths of an inch where it's dark/corroded - that's all!
Yes, exactly  I wondered the same, and suspect the latter

All three of those are winners Rachel! 🤣 🤣

I forget how long I spent trying to find a name for the Short Beak blade on Charlie's Ancient Barlows. Why does he post this interesting stuff when I'm just about to go to bed?!
I'm ever grateful!! Have a good sleep, Jack!!

Well, my guess is it is more sheepfoot than lambfoot.......... Since mutton and wool come from lambs and sheep, here are some etch ideas......
"Waynorth Wooly Whizzer"
"Charlie's Mutton Slicer"
"Waynorth Wool Whip"
"Charlie's Mutton Chop"

Interesting knife, Charlie! The blade shape, with its very slight upward curve, is certainly interesting.

I read somewhere a while back that “buttons” was an old term for sheep droppings (particularly in the south-west of England, according to the OED). 😁 How about:

“CHARLIE’S SHEEP BUTTONS”

…or, to contrast Young's Sheep Dips:

“OLD CC’s SHEEP BUTTONS”

😉

To me, the blade of your "Young's Sheep Dip" looks like maybe some kind of skinning blade, what with the curved cutting edge and severely blunted tip so as not to get into muscle tissue maybe.
Just trying to wrap my head around what it might be. Although I can't imagine serious skinning with a pocket knife LOL. So that doesn't make sense either.
Yours is the only blade like that I've ever seen and/or can't find another picture of.
