Deja Vu all over Again!!

Hello Friends ,

I'm sorry but.. even it has been made in Sheffield , it can only be a MOZZETTA di CAMPAGNA 🤷‍♂️

And it's definitely a great knife , congratulations to you Charlie, and your skillful knife-maker,to keep it in this beautiful shape 😄

Using Google-fu we learn that one of the main reasons for using sheep dip was to cure/prevent ovine psoroptic mange, or sheep scab. This is a parasitic infection cause by Psoroptes ovis, or the itch mite.
Perhaps your blade etch could say something like
STAMP OUT SCAB or
FIGHT ITCH MITE.
(You could easily work a name/trademark in there as well: FIGHT ITCH MITE WITH WAYNORTH)

Bearing in mind the industrial history of Sheffield, 'Stamp Out Scab' might be quite appropriate! :D

Pretty neat Charlie! Ive been eying those sfilatos and even contacted Rhidian to see how much it would cost to get one made, with an end cap of course 🤣 I suppose ill take a stab at it, Charlie's carver and Sicilian Shaver

Y'all are mentioning Ettricks, but isn't the curve on yours the opposite of a swayback frame?

"Waynorth's Humpback"

Another Lockwood Ettrick:

Yes; opposite curves of course, Rachel! I would have done a comparo, but I've sent the knife to Rhidian!
The Sheep/Lamb has a half-stop BTW, and the tang stamp is the same as my Ettricks, which was the point of showing them!!

I see why you say "Mozzetta" Jean-Marc!!
I could etch it the "Svelte Mozzetta"!! Ha Ha!
There are so many great "etches" proposed here, it's going to be hard to choose one!!

No no no no guys!!!
Laughing at your mention of my name but this is all Charlie’s here - he is the one who got it sent over to him, he is behind the revival and the working in with Rhidian - this has nothing to do with me in this part of the Knives Journey, all the credits lie with Charlie and Rhidian my friends.

I have found many of the old time etches to be kinda odd phrases that don't always make alot of sense to me.

How about BEST-WAY, SURE-SLICE, or STOUT-SNAP

I’m all serious about the etch when suggesting something like…

WAYNORTH etched on a curved Banner that also very sneakily has the CCC incorporated in the rails of the Banner. )

Simple- yet speaks out loud ( as it should )

Better would be WAYNORTHS PAMPA

I am not sure if the Brand name is still protected?

Duncan, it was your enthusiasm and belief in that pattern that got me all fired up, let alone that you got it functional again!!
Rarity has something to do with it also, and, Rhidian shares our enthusiasm!!
A perfect cutlery storm!! - Hey an etch possibility;
The Perfect Storm!!
