Deposit/ordering instructions for HTM Forum Gunhammer -- ***IMPORTANT***

I am "DRAGGIN ASS", we just had to replace our A/C (when it rains, it pours!!!) Here is my plan, deposit to be made on Friday the 17th. I am sorry for being ONE OF or THE person that is delaying this cool project. I hope you guys understand.
I will update as soon as I talk to the HTM rep.

Thanks and Sorry

Don't worry, I am waiting until Monday. I had to make a pit stop in Tulsa (no offense to those who live there but I hate that place). I entertained a job offer but passed. Lots of stuff going on.

Does anyone know if they will take PayPal? Just curious. I am calling here in an hour or two so a fast response would be...uh...fast. It would pleasure me much your respond now fast. Questions in the future I have. Those questions asked by me in the future will soon. You I thank. Sorry, practicing my foreigner typing, fun it very is.

mqqn is in for deposit on #5.

Hi All,
Just to bump the this project......
We are ready to start the project. YA HOOOOOO
We will push the green button as soon as ALL knives are ordered.
Please get your order in so that we can get this baby started!

Thanks for the faith....

Paypal IS possible. You will need to add the correct 3.5%, and if anyone needs to adress I will post it here if requested as long as it's okay with Hark and Neuron. You will still need to call Stephanie to confirm your Info.

Don't see why it should be a problem. But as TriviaMonster said, do give Stephanie a call to confirm after paying with paypal +3.5%.

I count 16 people paid (those who have specifically said they have paid the deposit in this thread).

I would say you have to set a cutoff date when everyone that will get a knife should be in for the deposit. Just my opinion, but it could be somewhat open-ended as is.

16? Dang. I was hoping to be one of the later ones. Not like I was trying to hold people up, but as in I was just late getting mine paid and was hoping more people had gotten it done.

I was just noting the Paypal thing since it wasn't posted on the first page with the instructions, and I also know a ton of businesses, especially knife businesses no longer accept Paypal for things.

Also, mqnn (if that's your real name), I agree about setting a cutoff date. I was hoping it would be like this Friday, since that would give everyone 2 Fridays (at least 1 being a payday).

Darrel would prefer not to use PayPal for this since it's a deposit on a special order knife. He's had bad experiences in the past with people who put down deposits on customs with special materials, etc. getting trigger-happy with PayPal disputes even when it was clearly explained at the time they put down the deposit that it would be longer than 45 days (the window to file a PayPal dispute) before the knife was done. I hope that nobody here would do that since it should be obvious that, between the time to get materials and make the knives, it'll be a minimum of a couple months until the knives are ready, but it's an additional headache that Darrel doesn't need.

Darrel is okay with using PayPal in special circumstances -- I arranged for an international forum member on the list to use it since he couldn't call internationally or (obviously) send a US Postal Service money order -- but if you want to use Paypal, you'll need to arrange that on a case-by-case basis.

make that 17.... Just called in my deposit for #16, Torpedo with Maxx-Glide. :)

From Darrel himself. Don't be alarmed yet. Nothing has been made, so you can still mutiny against him. I replied back and told him you guys really wanted the pantone color. I'm doing all I can to get it done in the color you want, which was Pantone 3435 IIRC.

We have talked to the anodizer and we agreed with them.

The best hardest ano is dark green gray color.

We will be using this color.

Also the marking are not clear.

I understand you all want it your way.

I need a final decision and two pictures

One of the front side and one of the rear.

The rest is very clear.

That will be the final way we do it.

Thanks Guys!

Don't worry, Hark and I are both pestering Darrel to do the Pantone code we were hoping for. Darrel says he and the anodizing guy will try to do it if we want, but he did caution that the anodizing layer will be thinner (and thus less durable) with the dark green color we're wanting, as compared to the gray and other colors in the HTM lineup. But if we're willing to trade some coating strength for the color we want -- and I'm fine with that trade -- he'll do it.

Edit: Just to clarify, the Pantone 3435 would have to be Type 2 anodizing, while the others are Type 3 (which is mil spec and extremely tough).
