Can you tell a big difference with the Hermann Oak? What weight are ya using
Huge difference over Tandys Oak Leaf brand. This was 8-9oz split down to 8oz (small fee), it's consistent and made the flesh side really clean. It seems to wet form better, burnish way better, takes dye well and has a higher quality feel. I'll be using Hermann Oak from now on.

Nice progress, John
So is "Serrano" official?
Kinda looks like it from the first post in the "two words thread."
Happy weekend everyone :)
Looks like it won in the poll. 'Redmeadow Serrano' had a nice ring to it:thumbsup: We should be stitching in no time.

The two word thread is more influential than you guys may think, it's greasing the wheels.

That's good to hear, I keep wanting to try Wickett and Craig, I heard it was also very good. Maybe when I start getting low again.

I'd like to try that as well, last time I looked for it everything was "Call to Order", that usually means I can't afford it!

Looking good, John!
A really big batch for you this time!
Especially considering the handle construction. I doubt I'll do a batch of eight through-tangs again. Full tangs maybe.

I have an idea for the next batch, it'll be a small run of full tangs. I'll be working on the frame handle as well.

I should probably do that sleep thing sometime but I gotta run to the big city for a dentist appt. With the family out of town my sleep schedule is all screwed up, I'm pretty much working off random naps.
