Deusker to the Rescue

Seriously, OldPhysics... NICE SCORES you lucky HOG!!! I really like the slotted bolt SHBM. :D:thumbup:

EDITED to ADD: Don't you live a little TOO CLOSE to Cobalt to be owning SHBM's???? LOL, watch your back!!!! He should be sneaking up behind you intent on those beauties ANY MINUTE now! LMAO[/SIZE]

Oh, I know I'm taking my chances! Some risks ... are meant to be run.

I've got the alcohol ready for my Black Tie Warden... :cool::D

..... I'm breaking out a pretty rare old Campbelltown single malt. A few drams of that, and I'll be able to forget what this little foray cost.

My boat came in today too. OP what time do we start drinking?:D

Whoa!! :eek::cool::eek:

That is an EXTREMELY impressive score. Isn't that a 1/300?

Hmm. Wife has tasks I must accomplish first ...

What about 8 pm East Coast = 5 pm West Coast?

very nice, Tony, gee it looks familiar;)

Paul, Jamie, most of the slotted bolt knives were about that thickness(0.255). Also, most were ground very thick nearly all the way to the tip. The later tube knives were ground much thinner towards the tip, but were thicker at the spine. It seems like Jerry made up for thinner stock by making the overall grind thicker. Overall weight on them is very close even though some are thinner than others.

It is amazing how much grind inconsistency there is in the SHBM's, I guess it all depended on how much JWB Jerry had in him.

Since you cannot run CNC machines on JWB, todays knives are much more consistent since hands-on only does the finishing edge and not the whole knife.

Busse knives - sharp and tough enough to shave Pbubsy and King Kong's backs

That just makes each one more unique. ;)

Thanks for the info!

AND...are still sharp enough to chop wood afterwards :p

Tony's knife looks VERY familiar :D.....it's a sweet knife, but just couldn't replace my slotted bolt CGBSSHBM (Combat Grade Back Shaving Straight Handled Battle Mistress). The CGBSSHBM has got the most meat, the most comfortable handle, and one of the thinnest edges I've ever seen on a SHBM. It's perfect! And never leaving me ;)! I also already have a 1/300 user as well :D why not share the wealth?

OP: Don't EVER part with that Slotted Bolt SHBM....not even if I start harassing you for it. Quite possibly one of the sweetest SHBM's ever made!

(Treasure Chest SHBM)

Do you guys see all of those SHSH's in the box, I could have hogged them up at the same time as the crinkle SHBM's for $350 and passed...
BS...(before Skunk) I would buy BBSHSH's all day for $225-$250 with original sheaths.
I would pass them on as I just can't get in to those little knifes ;)

Oh man...back in the day. Too bad I wasn't here yet :( since you don't like those little knives I know of a certain one you can dispose of :D in the pbubsy recepticle ;)

That sounds like good advice ... :cool:

:p I'm resisting sending you a message....I can be very persuasive :thumbup::D

yup, that is why posting these pics was ill advised in the first place.:D

The only thing that will fix this OP is that you swear to sell them to me first. I know you are a man of your word and that will keep Paul from being a problem.:cool: :thumbup:

TOOOO LATE :D:D

OP sent me your contract and it had some fatal flaws. So you have been put in second place. Hey you can’t complain... that is a good finish for you.:thumbup:

back-off woody, you and hairball need to stop gathering all the old stuff. Don't you know that the old gang was nice and happy till you guys came along. Now, you are threatening to undermine all we have worked for over the years.

Ducci, remember our pact. Don't let these runts get a hold of our stuff. We have let too much of it go already. We give them stuff and they are not happy with that. In the span of a week Tony has already gotten 2 to 3 SHBM's. And lets not even talk about Paul. They are like a couple of Leper cons and I do mean Leper cons.

Don’t panic…. I ONLY want one more.;)
