Deusker to the Rescue

Don’t panic…. I ONLY want one more.;)

that is what you said after the first one. That's how it starts, and then you want one more after that and more and more. Of course that is what I have been told happens to people..

Classic Gvt... he's three min late :p I'll be back at 20 past the hour

This is a nice Longrow -- out of the Springbank Distillery in Campbelltown. Really the only thing left in that prestigious area.

Every once in awhile, conditions seem prime to the Master Distiller. So he brews/distils up a batch of Longrow.

Smooth, mellow, but with more than a hint of fire. Much broader and more satisfying than most single malts. Not at all grassy, not as full-bodied as a sherried single malt (such as MacAllan). A different and very satisfying experience.

back-off woody, you and hairball need to stop gathering all the old stuff. Don't you know that the old gang was nice and happy till you guys came along. Now, you are threatening to undermine all we have worked for over the years.

Ducci, remember our pact. Don't let these runts get a hold of our stuff. We have let too much of it go already. We give them stuff and they are not happy with that. In the span of a week Tony has already gotten 2 to 3 SHBM's. And lets not even talk about Paul. They are like a couple of Leper cons and I do mean Leper cons.

Wait!!!! I want one... And NOT just ANY one, but one of... Cobalt's!!!!:eek::eek:

:foot:
LOL

Ok I'm here... here is to those guys that kept those SH knives for us:thumbup:

And that porker that made them in the first place

Springbank is distilled 2.5 times. Longrow is prepared by the more conventional double distilling technique and from malt that has been dried entirely by peat fires on the distilleries floors.

It is a truly wonderful dram just before bed. :D

Two from Campbelltown.

No Hogshead. :o But ... why not Bruichladdich 20? Shaldag turned me on to this stuff -- very nice!

A medium strong aroma, a golden color, and a very complex flavor -- a little salt, some seaweed (it's from Islay!), just enough malt, and surprisingly little peat. Hard to describe in words, but VERY satisfying in the mouth.

To the fine Busse Forumites, bearers of INFI, funders of the Busse clan. [Yes, Jaxx does get it!]

Slainte' Mhath!

Now for a GanzaaaTini

An excellent display of class!

As for me, I think I'll speed across Scotland to ... the East.

MacAllan!

But not just ANY MacAllan.

A Cask Strength from 1978. Medium amber color, a fragrance of peat smoke and sherry, a taste of oak and an explosion of spices. Then ... a warming fire in the gut (that's some strong single malt!) and that lovely sherry after-taste. Satisfying ... very satisfying. :D

To the newest generation of Hogs and piglets, their friends and families. May the Good Lord smile upon you. :)

As my Deutsch friends say, Auf Schottland!

OK OP I'm raising the bar here....
I'm going to go take a taste of a beautiful 48 year old:eek:   .....

BApic7.jpg

Entirely appropriate! And I shall kiss my wife ... once I figure out how this chair works.

But first!

Back across Scotland to ... the West. In honor of an English Forumite who's had to leave his lovely home on the wild island of Skye!

Talisker! Beautiful red-amber dram, pungent with smoke and the smells of the Western Sea, sweet with malt and spicy with pepper. The taste goes on and on and on ... :D:thumbup:

To Tony G and his lovely lady, may they know happiness and peace.

In the words of my very favorite opponents ... Kong Chien!

OP of all the great people here you are really one of the best.

I'm going to need to own one of you knives some day:D

Well after Ducci and I settle up :grumpy:

Hmmm. I think he's moved on to more important matters.

Finally, to the North!

No, not Glenmorangie. Further North ... to the frigid Isle of Orkney. :D

Highland Park 12! A lovely amber, this dram 'has it all' -- heather, peat, the scent and taste of the North Sea, and the total malt experience. Another long, long finish with a taste of heather honey on the tongue. Many love Highland Park to the exclusion of all other single malts. It's a taste every man should be treated to at least once in his life.:thumbup:

To whoever reads these words, good luck and good cheer!

In the words of my favorite dead language, Sanitas Bona -- Bene Tibi! :D
