Did I miss the announcement - BM 761?

it may yet be drilled for tip-up and tip-down by the time production rolls around

This is what Iam thinkin .........its still early in the game , alot can change.
Iam basically in no matter what they do.

Wow! This could be a hit. M390, bearings, Ti? Sweet. Glad to see BM step it up for this year.

The Retail price is $390 each and Map would be $331.50.
First production runs should ship out end of next week....
Dealers are the last to know...

Ouch, that would make it a no go for me which would be too bad.

The weight of 4.374 oz if true is nice for a 3.74″ blade of M390 with a thickness of 0.12″ and Ti. I really like the Ti frame lock Benchmades I have like Mini Skirmish, Subrosa and MPR. However, at $330+ it's pricey so hopefully the quality is great!

Looks gorgeous, but a little spendy for me. I can live with the tip-down arrangement, but wish it was reversible for left hand carry.

The prices on that site are a good bit higher than the states. It'd be hard to say what the street price for it would be here.

Looks nice, but I think BM is just a little bit too proud of this one. IMO ZT will eat their lunch if this is the direction they are headed.

This is the first Benchmade design that has really caught my eye in awhile. Once they are in stock, and street price is known, I might have to snag one. It appears to be ground nice and thin too. Which is always a plus. Hard to tell from pictures of course.

I hope the street price is in the $250-$275 range or at least under $300!

Agreed. Honestly a $300+ price tag would greatly lessen the odds of me purchasing one. Too many other Ti Framelocks in that range, that are way closer to the $200 dollar mark. We shall see though.

I really like the idea of a full ti frame lock. I really like the VERY Sebenza-esque blade shape. I really like Benchmade's customer service and warranty. But I think Benchmade knives are quite often over priced, and I hope this one is priced in a reasonable range. It looks like it will have nice simple ergonomics too.

Unfortunately it looks like the MSRP is $390 with a MAP of $331.50. BladeHQ

I like the looks of this but I'll have to be able to hold one to know for sure if it's worth that kind of money. But it is $80 less than a new Sebenza 21 and is lighter with a better steel. Put in that light it may not be too bad a buy. If it remains tip-down carry only that will be a major negative.

Anyone been able to find any more pictures of it, especially of the lock bar? It appears that it might have a lockbar insert (based on this picture which might show a hole in the lockbar where an insert screw would be). That would be a nice feature since Ti on M390 may not be the best thing.

I really like the looks of this thing. I'd be willing to overlook the tip down carry but I just don't know about paying over 300 for this.
