  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Cut up some old strawberries as a treat for the chickens.

They love most any kind of berry I throw them. They can be surprisingly amusing to watch when they chase down gooseberries at a dead run. Speaking of funny, I just had to laugh out loud at your photo. SAKs are just great at soaking up abuse aren't they?

I was priming 2x4s and found I'd left some of the labels on. I used my Boker to cut the pallet straps, but yes, I love the SAK for tar and paint and putty. I have an extra of this one, but I don't think I'll ever get to it.

Recently acquired an Alox Farmer, made itself useful it's first day pocketed.(removing tiny bit of wire)

Used the Washington Jack to open the adult proof packaging on a DVD that completes my library of the Cadfael series. Derek Jacobi plays a Benedictine Monk who also functions as a Midi-evil detective. I recommend the series to anyone as great watching.

The plot of this particular episode itself pivoted on the pommel of a dagger that was broken and left at the scene of a murder. So I got to fondle the WJ while I watched Brother Cadfael solve a mystery concerning another knife. :)

My Douk-Douk helped me fix my traditional Sunday morning sausage sandwich

THanks Chris :) Yes indeed, I like them a lot

Jack, that looks like a great breakfast! Much heartier than the burnt wheat toast with red raspberry jam and a couple of strips of Jarlsberg cheese I had this morning! ;)

That sounds tasty GT, five or six days a week I just have toast with a low-fat spread. or occasionally with raspberry/strawberry jam or Marmite. Always good bread though ;)

After cutting open a can of chicken noodle soup for a damsel in distress. Yeah, she was worth it!

JD Ellis is the man! The O1 barely dulled and got right back with a few seconds on the strop.
