Not today, but yesterday I made a new hanging bar in the shower for my wife's wet suit. It involved cutting and drilling some PVC. I cleaned up the cuts and holes with the Queen Canoe main blade.

That canoe has pretty much become my first pick for weekend carry. I've thinned out the main blade at 15° per side, but put a final cutting edge on it of 20° per side. With the robust thick D2 blade and the 20° bevel, it is more than adequate for my fixit jobs. Surprisingly robust for a knife which takes up so little real estate in my pocket.

Oh, been to Greens again have you Jack?

I like the bagel pic. The hue of that #66's scales always strikes me as olive-like (should that be oleaceaen?)

Thanks mate. No, not seen anything worth buying in Greens for a while. Uploading my Kelham Island pics is taking up all my time!

Building gliders and eating bagels and cream cheese; what a perfect idea!

Gliders would be nice, but I'm afraid it was something much more mundane, and those are onion bagels with hummus and olives ;)

Nice work Paul

I cracked and cracked out the Castor! :D

There is no better start to the day than an Opinel and a potato:

The finished product with a homemade biscuit:

Wow Jack and Todd, nice pic's!!! Making me hungry. Love the steam rollin out of the cup of coffee Todd.

thanks gentleman, it was a fine meal indeed. my opinel carried over to join up with a mora no. 2 for fire duty...there's something about summer and an evening fire.

on a stick for posterity:

I'm thinking about what traditional folder(s) to take away with me when I'm off camping at the end of August.

Figured if try one or two knives from the short list out over the next week or so.

Last night saw my Fox Nuragus in the kitchen, but i was a little against the clock and forgot to take some pics of the Smoked Haddock fishcakes with porridge oat crust, I made for my good woman.

Tonight it was the turn of my Hartkopf, gifted to me by Uncle Andi. It's really coming up trumps at the moment. I's lockback and wide blade make if especially useful to me.

Here it is helping prepare a few ingredients for veggie burritos:
