Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Thank you Gev.

It is yes, served atop of sugar snaps. A lemon butter sauce would have been great, but I only had limes in.

But there's nowt as fine as a good poached egg....add a bit of buttered granary toast and cracked black pepper....mmmm.

Some more pics of that Castor in the kitchen are long overdue by the way ;)

Yes...a poached egg is without a doubt a super food. I use the Castor everyday in the kitchen!! It is my go to kitchen helper. I just cut some avocado and tomato for a nice nitrate, nitrite and preservative free chicken breast sandwich on non-bromated, never bleached, homemade sourdough bread. Eat well my brothers and sisters, and use a sharp traditional knife. I will get some pictures up soon, sir

Glad to see you're eating well Thom :)

I've been out walking today, and while stopping for a snack I opened a very special parcel that had arrived in the post. More to follow elsewhere ;)

Had a bit of an odd leak at a tundish this morning & needed to add a bit of length to a condensate drain to fix it.
The reducer under the sodbuster was just a bit too fat to fit. Some whittling later, all was good. :)

This is my work knife that i got of another forum member..Ive had it on my work belt for atleast 6 months and use it more than often...It has been full flat ground and is 1/4 inch thick and as sharp as any of my chisels..Made by Camillus and 1095...I have a nice bit of stag for a rehandle job and will post a pic then....Its a fine tool..........FES

Some of these knives getting a real workout! Nice to see. Some of the owners of these knives getting a real workout as well.... I'll keep my fingers crossed for a few fishing trips in lieu of all the chores. :)

I keep forgetting to take a couple pics of my gardening. Lots of 'maters and whatnot meeting their end around here. My little knives are earning their keep in a very tasty way.

Great post Pete, hope all's well with the little 'un now :)

I've had a very wierd and stressful day, ate late and forgot to take pics. My Boy's Knife did open a fresh pack of coffee though, as well as cut the wrappings off a machete I bought in the market, and open my mail

Yesterday was my 5th wedding anniversary, so the wife and I cooked dinner together - fresh Littleneck clams in a white wine sauce, over fresh linguine. Resolza helped out a bit. :)

Yummy, love Littlenecks, used to get trash bags full of them free.

Thanks Jack, I'm lucky the little one eats what we are eating no special " kids "meals for her.

Sounds great Alex. Happy Anniversary :)

Too right! :)

My Peanut just cut up an onion to go with a burger! And fries!!

Where'd this thread go?!

No rest for my Castor today, it was at work early, helping me make a hearty breakfast :)

Looks like its just me and you propping this one up today Jack ;)

I used my Roto-sphere to help prepare a spinach and feta pie.

Terrible Thom, I just hope everyone is eating properly ;)

That pie looks great

My trusty Castor helped me out with a stir-fry :)

Now that looks tasty...

I made some Chnöpfli with a lamb loin on a morel-cream-sauce.
The forum knife didn't have a lot to do, just dicing some onions and garlic and most importantly opening a beer and making sure the lamb was perfectly pink :).
