Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Sliced up some Conecuh Smoked Sausage this morning for breakfast with my Buck 301. Started to use my Old Hickory kitchen knife but decided to use the 301 instead. Either would have been appropriate. Hope everyone has a great day!

Perhaps a bit of overkill to use a bullet jack to slice fruit. But as expected, it made quick work of the mandarins and blackberries...

#92 Eureka helped prep & eat my spicy teriyaki beef and broccoli

Nice to see you back Pete! ;) And with a bang!

Hope all's going well with your new family member my friend :)

The Sheepsfoot blade on my Queen Half Congress came in handy today as I was uncrating some equipment in the back yard today. The D2 blade cut through plastic strapping, plastic tape, and cardboard easy as pie. A sheepsfoot can't be beat for starting a cut in the middle of a surface.

Vic classic helped open up a box of baby wipes this morning. A pretty handy EDC item for a stay-at-home dad of twin toddlers. (I meant the knife, but I suppose that last sentence applies to the wipes, as well.) I also used the SD tip on the nail file to replace some batteries in one of their toys.

CASE Yellow D Penknife, which is m'office knife, prepped a pear and banana. Later on it opened a padded envelope from Hong Kong with a Böker Krein Pocket Bowie. Nice enough PSK, but I fear it must've been flood damaged goods, the box and envelope REEKED of damp&mould  This smell on the sheath is going to be tough to remove I suspect, no signs of damp though. Odour.....:barf:

Glad to see you back and eating so well Pete  Hope all are fairing well at the homestead?

Thanks, I (we) always eat well :) I always make sure I make a homemade meal for my family and we all sit down together for dinner.

Tonight was pizza night, and a Moore Maker, gifted to me from Mr. Gevonovich about a year ago did the work.

If it's mouldy, freezing it should help.

Funny you should mention this, I put it out on the balcony overnight and it went down to -26.9c. That seemed to fix it! Mink Oil helped too.

Today the Böker Krein had to slice through hosepipe solid with water, no mean feat.

An Aitor Castor in Bubinga lurked in my pocket too.

Thanks, Will
