Didn't Want To Do This

The point is he sold the knife he had got in trade from Blilious before he owned it -- Blilious hadn't received and approved the trade. I'm glad Blilious got his knife, and Joebe wasn't as dishonest as he might have been, but the kind of trading ethics Joebe showed in that and other transactions was quite sufficient to get him banned (not to mention the attitude he showed when called on it). I knew when I banned him that knife might still show up and decided it wouldn't change a thing if it did.

Now the knife has arrived that saves Joebe from prosecution over that deal, but it won't get him reinstated at Bladeforums. Deal with Joebe at your own risk.

Sometimes an honest member will start arranging a trade involving a knife he doesn't own yet, but he'll make it clear to whoever he's negotiating with that it's conditional, he doesn't have the knife yet -- and if anything goes wrong with any part of a complicated deal like that an honest member will make it right; he'll do whatever it takes to be fair to everyone he trades with even if it's an inconvenience to him. It's clear we can't trust Joebe to do that.

Great news Blilious. It doesn't change my opinion of Joebe one little bit. He seems to think that others should be willing to send him a knife on trust, when he unwilling to do the same thing. He also leads people to believe that he is going to ship his knife right away and then waits until he receives and inspects the other knife before doing so. This not only shows distrust in everyone he deals with, it also makes him a liar.

He deserves to be permanently banned. We don't need dickheads like him poluting BladeForums.

Now I look back in the thread I see I banned Joebe before Blilious even posted, over another deal. He just ignored Ghost Dog's complaint, laid low for a few weeks, then posted another knife for trade hoping we'd forgotten all about him. We're not that dumb....

Well, I for one was plenty dumb and did not check him before sending...assuming the fact he had a couple hundred posts is good enough...well - we all remember what the late JKM said about ASSuming...

anyway, I agree with your previous post Cougar - sending the knife - even if it was done before the heat was under his A$$ is not good enough, he simply would not answer my emails and posts and after I hunted him down all over the place, started name calling and accusing, and went on to selling my knife at the only forum I didn't find him in soon enough...and than came back with new names trying to repeat (or threepeat or whatever) his acts...

I agree- he should be banned for good.

thank you all for the kind words. I don’t NEED this AFCK - I just felt compelled to hunt the MF for all that is worth....and I was going to file an official mail fraud complaint against him, which might be the reason I got the knife after all...

what about the original poster ... is ghost dog indeed the infamous docbart?

this was brought up earlier and this point seems to be neglected.

why is he allowed to continue to post if he is?

i find it ironic that docbart would complain about being mistreated by another in a deal...

You have a point bandaidman, actually this has come up before. Not sure what the end result was.I don't have a problem with him coming back if he has changed his ways, but only if he has squared up with everybody he dealt with under his old handle. If he hasn't then whether he is an angel now makes no difference.my two cents.
