DINGED.........Second Generation Badger Attack Ergo Combat Grade

Quick and dirty between events. This feels pretty good so I stopped before getting into the talon hole. I'll probably either fill it in with something or keep going. I'm really surprised my finger already fits, and I've only lost about 1mm of edge

Looking good. About a half mm more, and the talon hole would make a good bottle opener. ;)

Were you able to keep the hole intact when you smoothed the edges of your mod?

My first etch. This one looks fantastic under the coating. I threw a coat of renwax on there to get in the etch and the edge of the scales just in case. It might stay in there for a really long time.

I'm going to strip mine, but I'm thinking of etching it first. But I'm thinking trying to use the saltwater and battery etch(?). Strip the butt where I already ground, hook the batter up there, and paint the "BUSSE" logo with the saltwater q-tip (if I'm remembering everything correctly). Going to be a bit before I can strip it anyway, probably.

The ferric chloride radio shack etchant was pretty easy, but electric seems to be the preferred method.

This is quickly turning into one of my favorite releases ever.

I usually do the Ferric Chloride. Want to try the other way to see how that works.

The last couple I stripped, I didn't bother with either. Didn't completely lose the trademarks, but they faded.

I'd probably take the point off that last little bit, and call it good!

I'm going to take some more off around the plunge line to round it out a little better. Then maybe take a tiny bit more off of the guard, ghetto satin, and eventually grind the butt.

Got mine today. I do think it is my new favorite Busse of this size. Wish they had offered in in an LE but I think there may be some customs of it come around.

Molding some kydex right now. After looking over the knife really well I don't think I am going to strip it right now. Like how the coating looks. Was planing on putting an edge on it with the WE but Beef did a great job on it so if anything I may just polish the edge out a little on the same bevel.

Hmmm... well, how bout some pics? :)

Solid progress. Plenty of work left to do though. But I would say now easily my favorite knife in the 4.5-6 inch range. I am really tempted to try the same mod on my old BAe. I probably wouldn't try it without a backup though.

You can honestly use salt water and a 9 volt batter! I did this on my KZII when I was too lazy to work up a power source.
