The one on the left looks just like mine, for now. I've been messing around with it, and I think the grip would be about perfect for me, except for one minor detail: the butt/pommel of it. It drops down far enough to really hinder the versatility of the grip. Edge out, like a chest-pull cut, or edge up, like opening up a deer, it really digs into he heel of my hand. And that is just messing around with it in multiple grips, not really putting heavy pressure on it. It really forces your hand into using the blade in either a hammer or fencing grip. Where it feels great. But this knife, and especially blade, screams for generalized use. I'm probably going to trim the pommel off and smooth that area. It will limit the knife's chopping ability, because the pommel works great in a choked back grip. But with the size of this blade, that is the last thing it seems destined to do.
I can tell you one thing, though: those that went for the BMe2 (including me) made a great choice. I think that knife and this grip are going to be PERFECT together. Even with that blade being only 9.5" (IIRC). And even if it comes in a half inch shorter (like my DTBM did), it is going to be a whopper of a chopper! Now I can't wait for it to be released!
