Do It Yourself - Survival Knives

Verdigo -- I own one of Wayne's TCEDC knives (#33) and love it. Love it so much that I've got it's big brother ordered, a TC Recon. All the makers I've dealt with here at Bladeforums will stand behind their work, I don't doubt that Wayne would if the need ever arose.

Believe it or not, these guys are part of a fading tradition in which craftsmen make a product with pride, make a product to perform, make a product to last, and will stand behind that product. I know in this day and age that's hard to believe. It's probably one of the reasons I enjoy collecting knives I don't really need. Regardless, you can buy one of these blades with confidence (if Wayne will sell you one now). Here's my guarantee to you: if you buy one of these blanks and aren't completely happy with it, I'll buy it from you. I've never met Wayne (even though he lives in the next state), but I have absolute confidence in his work and can make you that offer without reservation.

Wayne -- In the meantime can I have a #1 blank? I've got a piece of wood that might work nicely for this blank. Sweet deal at $60.00 shipped. Paypal sent.

For some people being an ass hat in public isn't good enough anymore. Seeking a broader audience, to show their backside, they become an ass hat on the internet. :jerkit:

Not only does Wayne do first class work, but CJ his apprentice does as well. I own knives from both of them. Nothing but first class work comes out of that shop!

Wayne - no need to prove anything to anyone, or even respond to baseless claims and accusations coming from the peanut gallery. Your knives stand on their own, as I'm sure all of your customers will agree.

Thanks a bunch guys - you are all greatly appreciated. This thread did get a wee bit derailed didn't it.

We simply wanted to offer some quality blanks for the Do-It-Yourselfer crowd. Hopefully we can get that back on track now.

Take care and God Bless -

I'll take a #3, please. Can I have one with a lower grind, like the top one in the photo?

Please send me your PayPal address, and I'll take care of it ASAP.

Thanks, Dutch

Really tempted to buy one of these, Wayne. I'm saving my money for the AG Russell Event and intend to shake your hand when I'm there.
I'm not real experienced at what makes a quality knife, but here's what I've learned in 3 and a half months cruising these forums, and other sites, for knives........you won't find other guys selling Wayne's knives. I guess they keep them. You also won't find them on ebay. I bought a couple knives from Wayne, and have more ordered. He's easy to work with. Wouldn't even take money up front.
Bought the only complaint I have is his internet connection needs improvement! :-)
Hope to see you at the Event, Wayne.

Mike - It's so good to have you here on BF! This is perfect timing as your full set of knives are ready to go. I'll drop you a regular email as well. Thanks for the comments my friend. And with spring approaching maybe the storms up on the mountain where the tower is will ease up and leave my internet service alone for a while. ;) About the only thing we deal with a lot in spring and summer is lightning which is so darn unpredictable.

Take care and God Bless -

Wayne's knives are of the highest quality and his level of craftsmanship is top of the line. His knives speak for themselves, needing no one to defend them. The knives defend themselves. That puts an end to your baseless, crass and inane accusation, verdigo.

Wayne,

The #1 arrived today! (24 hours: let's hear it for the USPS!) Outstanding blank; I'm stoked to try my hand at a handle for this blade. I've got a piece of Bubinga that has been drying at altitude for 3+ years waiting for a project like this. I'll send a pic when it's completed. Nice work and many thanks!

Sent in my PayPal earlier this evening, and I think I'll be using purpleheart for the scales. I'll probably cold-blue the blade, too, just to annoy my buddies.

Looking forward to a little project with such a nice blade.

Please send me a total for a #2 and #4. Thanks Martin. I would like the highest grinds that you have left. This is going to be fun, Thanks for offering these up in the unfinished stage.

Hey Brother! I'll take a number 4 and a number 5. Any chance of getting a simple leather pouch sheath for 'em or the makin's fer? (lol) Of course, it'll be extry! Hit me back when ye can!

- course ye bein' a man-ooo-fakt-shurer an all. best be havin' that qual-i-tee kun-trol, now, ye hear? lol verdigo - what a maroon. Brother, you make the finest blades on the planet. They speak for themselves. Like I said, I own a few of your fine knives and they are not only lookers, they are users, too. Course, some folks don't want to use them much because they are so pretty but they don't know what they are missing out on nor do they know that you can fix them up to look like brand new!

These bad boys are sure to be a hit here in the desert. I really like number 4. I can use it as a spear and a fixed blade. That, my friend, is handy no matter where you are in the back country. I hope you'll be making more of these. Perhaps with longer / wider blades, maybe a touch longer handle? Be fun to explore the possibilities with that design. And number 5 is just dang awesome. She'll be getting a workout, that's for certain. Wish I had more cash! I'd order one of each!!! You and CJ are doing some mighty fine work up on that mountain in beautiful Colorado. I'm gonna have to git up thar and raise a ruckus with you! lol

Folks, Wayne and CJ make awesome knives. Like I said, I have several and they are all tested. I even shaved with each of them, heck I made a video to prove to Wayne I did it! lol I actually use the knives and they are just as pretty as the day I got them with only a little tender loving care to maintain them. Renaissance wax and "Steel Shield" or WD-40 is all I use. If you haven't tried one of Wayne's knives or CJ's knives, you should really give them a try. You'll have a quality tool that will last you a lifetime of use and you'll pass it along with pride.

The craftsmanship is evident and there is no credibility accorded to the poster whom made such malicious and utterly baseless remarks!
