Do It Yourself - Survival Knives

Wayne - received the blanks today. I'll shoot you a few pics when the are completed. Thanks buddy!

I saw that thread and thought the fellow was joking, guess not.

As far as Wayne goes I know that he has always been more than willing to help me out everytime I have asked, and believe me when I say I have asked. I consider him a friend and hope that he feels the same towards me.
All you have to do is look at his work to know that he puts his heart, name, and reputation in every single blade he makes.

I got the blade today. It's gorgeous.

Can't wait to play around with it,

Wayne - what sort of glue or epoxy do you like for Micarta scales?

Knowing you're doing it right isn't good enough anymore...you have to be able to prove it.

Of course he does. Read the commendations by his customers and fellow craftsmen for the proof.

Please note: further trolling may result in damage to your Bladeforums membership.

I guess I owe it to Verdigo for bringing attention to those beautiful knives a Coal Creek Forge. Everyone is good for something, even if they are only good at being a bad example. I guess I am just a glass half full kind of guy. Verdigo, well, he probably does not know the first law of holes. My kids do, I bet dollars to donuts verdi does not. Can you dig it?

cj65 -

That's perfectly fine with me (Wayne)...however, I'm not so sure it's good with my Dad (Mr. Jarrett) as he left us 12 years ago. It will be a while yet before I can reach him. :p

I'll stick a #1 aside and wait to hear from you.

Lastly, to go along with the theme of your comment above - I would think a you would have ordered a number two:eek:....ah but I digress.;)

Take care and God Bless.

All right Wayne, you will get a paypal Monday. God bless you too, and may He always give you enough!

#2 That was a good one.:D

Do you have two Model #3 like the bottom one in the pic (ground almost all the way up)?
If so, I'd like those please.

Nobody -

Sorry for the delay - my IP was down due to a little storm up on the mountain above us where the transmitter is located. We got 18" but I bet the mountain got more.

Regarding qty (2) of the #3's - I know I have at least that many but I'm not sure if they have the high grinds that you're asking about. If not it's nothing for us to take the grind a bit higher for you. The reason I'm a little sketchy on this is that my son took several blanks to the local gun show where he has a booth every month and he's bringing the remainder of blanks back up the mountain to me in the morning. That's how I know that there are 2 of the #3's just not about the grinds.

Let me know if you're interested if we can move the grinds up a bit and I'll get back to you tomorrow morning.

Take care and God Bless

Alright, the paypal is sent for 1 #1 fixed blade. Thank you sir! looking forward to putting some scales on it.

God bless,

CJ65

Everyone Else - I'm getting an accurate count of what blades are still available and will be updating the original post with that info shortly.

A very nice and more appealing alternative to those kit knives I often see. Just wish I had the money to order one or two.

And established knifemakers don't have to prove a damn thing. Their client base is all the proof that anybody needs.
