I didn't know much about Spydieguys before I purchased a few knives from him. I bought a couple of Delicas a few months back. But for Christmas, I purchased 3 more Delicas for gifts--he offered a sale, plus I had a $5 off coupon. I received 2 of the 3 knives with a handwritten note on the invoice that said: "the other will ship later this week. Thanks!"
After a week with no feedback, I sent an e-mail asking about the 3rd knife and I received this response: "I apologize, I just issued a refund for the 3rd Delica. They are out of stock. Thanks~" This was on December 10, 2010.
I did receive a credit card refund for the 3rd knife, but days later the website was down. I can't help wonder that if I hadn't contacted him, would I have received a refund. It was strange that I had to remind him that they owed me one more knife.
Anyway, the next knife on my list is the ESEE Junglas w/Sheath.

He's been running a sale of his "personal collection", for the last couple of weeks. Says he's getting out of the business.
Glanced at some of them, but when I he put up a Matriarch for $200, I totally lost what little interest I had.
I'm also not inclined to email my CC info to him. Whole thing seems a bit odd to me. Jess probably is a great guy, I've just never felt comfortable with how he does things.

i was bored and decided to do some forum reading and went through this from the beginning.
i'm ashamed to say, i'm one of the greedy suckers who thought he was gonna retire early after selling my sprint run super rare orange g10 military for a million bucks when i hit the ripe ole age of 55. i believe spydieguys got me for $128 BIN.
and a lucky 600 of us could of achieved that dream if sal only stopped at 600 of them like he told jess he would! . . . . . ;-)
thats OK, i'm not bitter, i got a limited edition white micarta goddard folder, so it's only a matter of time. . . . NO, i do not carry and enjoy my knives, i plan to retire early and rich. they are my investments, the stock market is for suckers.
