This is definitely him. Looking at the picture qualities and knife angles in the picture is a dead ringer. He is probably using either his wifes account or one of the ladies that works for him. Look at the first couple of feed backs from when the account was created, the account was selling dresses. All of a sudden its all Spyderco and Phiten products.

Why make those video's and lie about leaving Ebay just to set up shop under a new name?

I just found this thread but before reading I too came cross his new ebay name. Item location: Texas. Pictures look EXACTLY the same only with a green background. Spydies and Phiten products come on man.

I sent two emails to his spydieguys.com email asking whats going on there with the ebay. No responses.


Seriously, this guy is effed up. His business practices are terrible. I wont get into it but hes even no longer welcomed in the spyderco.com forums.

Well if you follow his youtube channel, you'll see that he is now entertaining the idea of running an aution system through his own website.:rolleyes:

Now he can shill bid his auctions all he wants with no consequences.

How would anyone ever trust an auction site run by the actual seller of the goods? The guy making the profit would have admin rights to see the maximum bids of the buyers!

Wow..so glad I found this thread. I've looked at his stuff in past on ebay and almost bit. One thing that kept me from buying was sales tax as we're in same state. whewwww.
 
I bought a Kiwi from him before I knew who he was with no issues...but I never has any problems with several purchases from Spydieguys. If you had to judge him based on only my experiences you would have to say he's a good seller. I wish everybody else's experience was the same.

In his video he blamed a lot of his negative feedback on extortion by buyers who wanted a freebie or else they would post a negative. Under the new feedback system sellers can't post negative feedback for buyers, so buyers can leave negative feedback with impunity. Have any of you that sell on eBay ever had that happen to you?
 
I went to check out his youtube channel to see the Native rant and it looks as though he's basically cleaned up all of his old videos. The one above in this thread, where he talks about leaving ebay, is also gone.

This guy is a scam artist of the highest order. I wonder how Sal keeps him on as a distributor, seeing as how many folks have complained on Spyderco's website about the guy.

It's also worth mentioning that the spydieguys website has been "down for maintenance" for several days now.
 
wow. I'm glad I just found this thread. I've looked at, and almost bought from this guy on ebay; but something always held me back from pulling the trigger or bidding.
 
Ha, wow, had no idea this was going on. I used to watch his videos, never bought anything from him though his prices were always too high.

Seems like he's just an arrogant, egotistical and childish jerk. I really think he had a severe misunderstanding of being a good small business owner. He saw it as doing whatever was necessary to capitalize on things in a niche market at the cost of integrity, the "if they don't like how I do things, screw 'em" attitude which many small business owners have. The pre-auctions, the self-promotion engraving logo, especially the much frowned upon practice of buying and reselling on ebay at a high profit.

I don't see him resurrecting SpydieGuys in any form. Hope he learned a lesson. Good riddance.

Surprisingly his youtube account is still active, but almost totally gone. He knows he did something wrong or he wouldn't have deleted all those videos and shut down his website regardless of ebay ending.
 
I think his website is shut down now too, for the past month I have tried to visit it and it has always said "undergoing schedualed maintence be back in 15 minutes to an hour." And they also stated they accept PayPal. When I contacted them they said they did not.
