That would be awesome, George! Would be great to have a copy of it, too.

Yep!!! We will be getting copies. This spring we will be having a Memorial HI for Donna and Helen. We will make up a canister with both there ashes.:)
The attachment is of the practice billet we did last weekend. It consist of 4600EC center, nickel and a 1084 outside. I may switch the 1084 and 4600EC around?????

Wa..Wa..Wally, the billet looks great

A couple of months ago Dan, one of my band mates, came to practice and asked if he could video the band.
I seems that Dan also creates videos for a local Public Access TV station, and he was contacted by the station management asking for some new items for the TV.
I told Dan he could come to my shop and record some blade forging. Then IG told me about his plans on making a Helen Canister. Knowing that Wa..Wa..Wally is a HUGE Ham for attention, I told Dan about it and that this would be a great documentary. Dan is more than ready to record this event.
Last week at practice Dan said he'd be available on the 14th of this month, so off we go to IG's to document this tribute to Helen.

I have some stabilized whale rib bone that I am planing to be using for the slabs. I have to cut out a slab and polish it, to send it out to a scrim artist to see if the ink will take. If it does I'll use this old walrus tusk, that my Ole Buddy Whale dragged up when he was out scalloping.
The scrim will be a pic of Helen (A Glamor Shot, attachment) on the slab facing out when it is sheath and on the inside slab it will have Helen's name with rose on the end.

Very cool IG, try to not let Fireboy around the forge, wouldn't be good for people to see someone on fire while you forge. :D

I think your idea for your memorial knife sounds very tasteful.

Thanks Guys:thumbup:

Well, my daughter the Film and Video graduate says that is very easy ... so I'm sure he can.

Would LOVE to see this documentary! :)
