My American pride has always been a bit jealous of Australia because they get to lay claim to AC/DC.

.....much like the 5th Wiggle, he decided to quit the band (they performed as the Cockroaches when not doing the kid's stuff) as there was no future in it and get a real job.. !!!Apparently there's a hippie guy in Australia who is mad at himself for being too lazy (stoned?) to go to USA with the other 3/4 of the band he started in Au that went on to become AC/DC...
So, in a that perspective, you don't need to be jealous anymore

Just give it some time, your croc population will get so big that more humans will get attacked/eaten, and eventually they will be forced to open a season on them. That's what happened here in Florida with gators. They protected them to the point where we now have 1.25 million of them here. We've already had 5 or 6 people killed in the last year or so, which doesn't seem like a big deal until it happens to a friend or loved one. Fortunately we do have an open season on them now to reduce the adult population.I would love to hunt one here but there is NO legal way to do so, get caught doing it illegally and you can expect a stay in one of Her Majesty's Grey Bar Hotels. There is much talk about a limited season but the Greens are to vocal about it and it can't get past the Federal Govt.
.... yep, if from here it would have been "Estuarine or Saltwater Crocodile" .... they are close relatives but a slightly different species, the Aussie version is apparently "larger".That explains the "Nile" part. I fully expected it to be an Australian model.
.... they are already being killed, that is the falicy of the argument here. Problem Crocs are trapped and moved on or killed depending on the circumstances. It is just the Extreme Greens who wont acknowledge that there is a benefit to allowing hunting to kill the same Crocs (with someone paying a premium into the local indigenous community to do so). I would have HAPPILY spent the same fees here in Oz to legally hunt one here in the NT as I did in Moz.Just give it some time, your croc population will get so big that more humans will get attacked/eaten, and eventually they will be forced to open a season on them. Unless it's a LE numbered satin blade over a 1k, we all use our Busses.
