Does anyone actually USE their Busse knives?

This thread has inspired me. The mistress hasn't been out of the house for quite a while. As long as the weather isn't too miserable tomorrow I'm going to take her out for a respectable chopfest!!

I found a nice alder tree begging to be killed. Took about 10 minutes or so to hack through it. I got a picture of the stump, but unfortunately forgot to get one of the tree itself.

Nice......Nice.

I have yet to have a tree naughty enough to get chopped down for his actions.

I was super stoked, though there was a large fallen tree blocking one of my favorite paths.

I was all excited to have a good reason to use my FBMLE. But it was too late in the evening, and I had to get my kid home for dinner. The sun was going down, and we still had about 30 minutes walk back to the truck.

So I went back a couple of days later, trusty FBMLE in hand.

And some knuckle head with a chain saw had already ruined my fun. I figured that since it was 1/2 an hour from the parking area, that no one with a chain saw would make it up there for a few days at least.

Damn...that looks to be about a 10-inch or so, eh? That would be fun. I went after this one for a couple reasons:

1) Alders are considered weeds up here and you're not breaking any laws by cutting down live ones.
2) I have chopped logs in half, but have never cut down an actual living and breathing tree.
3) This was the biggest round I have chopped to date.
4) Because it was there! (had to throw in the cliche!)

Its not the biggest tree in the woods, but it made a lot of noise coming down. Talk about satisfaction!!

I like my users too! :D I swap back and forth between a .17 GW and a .22 GW. Always have one in my purse (or hunting bag). I have skinned and processed many deer and hogs. And it is well known in the mom groups that if you need something sharp ask Stacy.

That is AMAZING Snake Mistress

Oh yes! One of the lesser known SAR's! One of my favorites!

I just sliced a nice flank steak, and my thumb tip, with my Anorexic Basic 4 #444 (yup). Its not lost on me that I used an anorexic blade to help make myself a bit fatter. Just how I roll.

Anorexic Basic 4, Its a keeper!:thumbup::thumbup:

Much better! I have found that I much prefer the smooth scales. Thinner profile works better as well, the G10 on those was super fat
