As long as its NOT coke :D I dont buy that garbage!
What if it's a rum and coke? Ya know, pepsi never gets named specifically in any drinks... There IS a reason for that...
So I gots a buddy that lives just outside LA and he works with a company that deals in electronics and equipment for the entertainment industry and they have good deals on used TV's and the like. He's hooking me up with a used 40" LCD for $230 shipped. I forget the specs on it but he knows way more about that than me and he says it's good.

Same guy also gets to go to a trade show in Vegas in April so I'm gonna head over and meet him and his brother for a weekend. The room is paid for so I just need to get my butt over there. Not sure if I feel like another marathon road trip by myself (12 hours one way) but I'm also not sure if I want to drive up to Denver international to catch a plane.

What trade show is it? That is a good deal on the TV it looks like, I really love the new Sharp Aquos. I saw the 90" one in the store and while it isn't WORTH 9,000 to me. I also am a fan of things that are inexpensive and work!

I went to a tree farm last weekend to chop my XMAS tree down and they told me i had to use their saw, they wouldnt let me use my own knife, i guess due to insurance reasons they dont want someone swinging an axe or knife around on the farm.

So we left, i didnt want to saw a tree down i wanted to chop a tree down and the price to do that with their saw was 50 bucks, and the trees that were left were not so great.

So today we went to a popular lumbar/home improvement type department store and they had a lot nicer tress left in the store for 40 bucks. they had a semi trailer full of trees parked up to the outdoor garden section just in case you didnt see one you liked in their "displayed" ones.

Anyway as i was paying for the tree i grabbed some twine they had sitting by the door and without thinking i pulled my manix2 out and cut the twine, now normally i dont carry any knife in the city but i knew i was going to get a tree and would need to tie it on the car so i brought it....Anyway An older lady beside/behind me taps me on the shoulder and i already know she is going to say something about how im not suppose to carry the knife..... But instead she says "thats a real nice knife" and then asks where to get one for her husband for XMAS, so i told her about a few places online and she pulls her iphone thingy out and ordered it right there in front of me just to make sure she got the same exact one. I told her i thought she was going to tell me i shouldnt have it, and then she opens her purse a little to show me whats inside and grandma had a little 22 pistol in her purse LMAO she said "honey im not one to judge, i have never had a permit to carry anything in my life but i dont leave home without my social security" Oh my goodness me and my wife were cracking up like crazy!!

Sounds like a great deal to me, I got my 46" panasonic during a huge sale for 399, the next day we went back to get a smaller one for the bedroom and the sale was over and the one i got the previous day was already back up to 650!!

We ended up getting a 32" for the bedroom and it cost around 350, not much less than our 46"

So 230 shipped for 40" is excellent i think, especially when shipping will prolly cost a nice amount.

Actually the shipping is only like $30. I can only imagine that they do enough volume to get a killer deal on shipping. He said they also have two 32" smart TV's for $200 plus shipping. The 40" I'm planning to get isn't a smart tv but I can stream stuff on my PS3.

Most expensive vehicle I ever owned was 1/3rd the price of hat TV. I think if I were going to go bigger than 60" I'd have to go with a projector. Even 60" is pretty big.

Watching Cutlery Corner and Frost Cutlery has taken the Ontario So type Kraton handle for their Chinese junk.

If look and feel were ever to be copyrighted, that's A handle I recognize.

Was that part of tooj's work or what?

How the hell have ya'll been????

Sorry I've been away for so long, haven't had time for anything but work and family for awhile. I'm sure there are some new faces and some old ones may be gone, but I have been missing this place since I have been away. I hope all have been well with your bellies full, knives sharp and liquor cabinets stocked.

Been awhile since I've been outdoors so no new Beckers lately but I have recently acquired a Small Sebenza...

Why can't we all just get a long-neck?

And drink a toast to peace and harmony?

As the big brother of a sister I am happy to say that my little sister has finally found a boyfriend that I don't have to make scared of me. Up until now there has only been one other bf she has had that was actually decent.

Holy crap!! How u been?

Good thank you man! Busy, but that's a good thing. How about yourself? What have I missed around here? Feels like it's been forever!

I've been good too.....try in to stay busy. You have mostly just missed a bunch of shenanigans, craziness, and a few gender reassignments. You know.....the usual.

You still doing the management job at the new restaurant?

I always knew Moose would look good in a skirt, but I have my doubts about Bladite finding just the right shade of blush.

Oh good. I'm not the only one who likes HWJ.

I give it a week. :p

So how do ya'll store your folders? I'm wanting to get some sort of storage case, maybe like a roll-up deal or something. Space is tight in my room so I'm wanting something that can hold a lot of knives but is compact as possible.

I suppose that's about what will happen. I've actually known the guy since he was like 12 and he has always been a good guy, so I'll hope it works out.

I got my got my order in for a $46 bk16 the other day and got shipping info yesterday. I'm crossing my fingers that a laser etched saber shows up, but not getting my hopes up.

It's Wesson for me and anyone that uses anything else is a big doodie head!!!!

Wesson is fine, but 'vegetable' oil is rather generic and might vary a good deal from batch to batch. I'm a canola man, myself, but whatever quenchant you use, make sure you have adequate ventilation.

Sadly (or perhaps not) I still have my 30" Toshiba I bought in 1994 (egad!) for the World Cup because my TV at the time was having issues of randomly shuttin off. Toshiba still has a lovely picture; hard to replace something that still works so well. The only suck part (also really funny) was I had a friend help me get it home (30" CRT is heavy) on June 17th, 1994. We were so excited to turn it on and enjoy the glory of my "big screen"..... and every single one of the 98 cable channels was showing the same thing. Here's your simple morning Google excercise, kids. First one to tell me why we finally turned the TV off wins a custom handmade lanyard sent to your door. GO!!
