Don't trade with Buck 112

I do not agree. He has stated that he will remain until other have their property returned. I hope he does. After that, he request being canceled, banned or exiled.
 
I thank you Ed T for clarifying my point.
At this point I am working out the arrangements for the shipping. I am well aware that you have no reason at all to trust me. But I will do my best to return everybodys belongings. If anyone else besides the ones involved directly in this whole mess feel that they need to bash me I sugest that you open another thread for that purpose and leave this one alone for constructive problem-solving.

I hope that you follow through with your plan to return all knives to people involved.

I would suggest that
#1 you send all with some sort of tracking #, so that there is no doubt as to shipping date
#2 ship them today

The way your talking sounds like your not going to be shipping for a while, but I am going to chalk that up to language barrier.

To add to what Kyle has suggested I would also add that these knives should be sent back using the fastest and most secure method possible. Make sure these people get their knives back and get them back asa quickly as possible.

Kasper, you say that you have had trouble with the loss of knives you have shipped out. Jens does not seem to have any problems in this way. I wonder why that would be? Danish Customs don't seem to be a problem for him.

You lied, cheated and broke confidence. Everyone makes mistakes in their lives - Nobody is perfect. The best that anyone can hope for is forgiveness. You are forgiven, at least by me.

Now that we have that out of the way, I hope you do the right thing in the future. You need to make good on your promise in order to begin the healing process. Then you need to get back on the right path. Once you have done these things, you can become trustworthy again.

He has offered to return the trades, since my package was lost.:(

There are those who will call me naiive, so be it.

So far everyone here (BF in general) I have traded with has been aboveboard, and I will give Buck 112 the benefit of the doubt. I have relatives in Europe, and have had packages get lost before. In one case an "Overnight" courier package ($$$) took almost a month to get there...

As he said Kasper has contacted me. He asked me if I would send the knives for him.
I was less than pleased to see me name asociated with this person on the forum and he brings a bad word on any foreing trades and post about big risk of knives getting "stolen" in custom. I send knives to the US every week and I have NEVER had any knives gone missing. I get stuff from the US very often and while most will get inspected I have never had anything get lost that way either.

I have allways been very carefull about where and what I post on the forums. On the other hand I wish to help good people. (in the US end...) so I have advised him of the best way to send these knives. I send knives to the US every week and I have NEVER had any knives gone missing.

I hope this helps in some way. It sounds like he is willing to do the right thing.
 
Well good lord, it's like a pack of piranha's swarming a wounded wildebeast..

I'm all for crucifying people that set out to screw someone over, as I have said time & time again.
However, it does not take much at all, even with the best of intentions, to screw the pooch, and it's even easier to make it worse.

This sounds like a simple case of someone screwing up, but not a case of someone deliberately trying to screw someone..a big difference.

The guy admits he screwed up and is trying to make things right, so what more do you want?
Just piling on someone, even after they admit their mistake, is pointless and unnecessary.

That's just my opinion..

The guy lied about having the knife, lied about shipping out his part of the trade. That is not a mistake. That is a willfull theft.
 
I agree, and have my own opinion about people who jack me around when my money or my stuff is involved, but those of us who have nothing to do with this situation would make better use of our time by finding a thread by some new person with a question we can help out with, than just chiming in here to call names and making the situation worse. All that's going to do is alienate this guy when, for the moment, he appears to be cooperative, and willing to make this right on his end. There are several people who have personal property on the line here, and I'd hate to see them not get it back.
 
It’s clear to see that there are a few people questioning Kasper’s integrity. Kasper certainly sounds like a very sincere and honest young man. I’ve corresponded with him a number of times and never felt any other way.

There is a very simple remedy for everyone that seems to have been overlooked that would calm frazzled nerves right now while each person awaits the return of their property.

Each of these packages sent from Kasper to various people was insured; thus he has in his possession postal documentation, official postal stamps, and money receipts for each and every shipment here in question giving original shipment dates, addresses, insured amounts, package contents, etc. With his digital camera (which we know he has), Kasper can take a picture of the pertinent documents and email the pictures to each applicable recipient showing proof the package was in fact sent.

He can also do the same once the merchandise has been returned, emailing pictures of the shipping documentation. At this point, I too would recommend an expedited and traceable shipping method.

If Kasper is being straight with all of you, this should be no problem for him to complete and each of you should be at least a bit calmed by “proof” that things happened the way Kasper has said they did.

Dan, it takes a stong person to forgive someone when they did you wrong-you are a better person than me. I hope for your sake that Buck does the right thing.

Buck, do the right thing...you have the rest of your life to live and you are at one of those proverbial "turning points" in your life...do the right thing.

I am waiting for an item from him, and agree that Buck 112 has always come across as honest and sincere to me.
I am sure he has the documentation you mentioned, and that would certainly prove his case. Once that is provided, I am sure that people will realize that this was just a series of unfortunate SNAFUs.

I am a real trusting sole and ship knives to members of BF based on their word only. Why, after this guy filled everyone full of crap just to buy time, do you honestly believe he is not doing the same thing again?

No one is "crucifying" Kasper. he has done that all by himself. No one agrees to trade an AR for a GB, gets the GB snd immediately tries to trade it before he is certain both parties to the "deal" are happy. In this case he LIED to buy more time.

He is simply doing it again. But as I have no trades currently [or eber will] with Buck 112, I am not the one who will be burnt when this guy falls off the face of the Earth and does so with the knives still in his possession..........Ira:rolleyes:
 
Hey Ira,

I can understand your skepticism, but at the moment, I’d recommend a bit of patience and restraint. I’d advise giving Kasper a chance to send off copies of the postal documents he has in his possession to prove his integrity. Once he’s responded, we’ll know the truth about these transactions.
