Don't trade with Buck 112

Kasper: You're making me proud by doing the right thing. Way to go! :)

Everyone: What you're seeing here is a young man growing up. We've all screwed up (and often paid for it). He's making it right when he could have just "signed off." That shows bigtime character.

Dan for your upcoming help, and thanks Kasper for doing the right thing.
I'll keep you all posted.
Rob:D

Hold your thanks to Kasper until he sends the $$. I haven't seen anything yet! I ask for a tracking number, but he said the bank didn't give him a receipt. Have you ever wired money and not gotten a receipt? Not me either! :(

Dan.

Dan is right. Everybody should hold off on all the ovations for Kasper until he has actually done the right thing and gotten everybodies money to Dan. To this point all he has done is give lip service to the fact that he is going to do the right thing, so let's wait and see if he really is going to make good before we all congratulate him for redeeming himself.

Update:
I have made both of the transfers to Dan. I have emailed him photos of the reciepts/invoices for both transfers.

So do you still have the knife you said you shiped me a month ago?

Now this is not a good development. Kasper, what do you have to say about the question that Atrick-Pay just asked? I wonder if there are others waiting to pop out of the woodwork?

I agree with Keith, let's hold the applause until something is acutally done , rather than just talked about. Maybe some of you have more money to throw away than I do, but if I sent someone a $300-$500 knife and got nothing in return.....well, it didn't happen to me but this is the kind of stuff that turns new people off. I recently did a trade with a member who hadn't done a lot of trades and he was made to feel quite uncertain by the paranoia of some members. Well, when you get burned like this, it makes you skeptical. I wish you all well in getting your belongings back. FWIW, age has nothing to do with it. My 7 year old nephew knows right from wrong and fesses up when he is wrong. But he's not a liar and he's not a thief. Values are taught early, they don't suddenly develop once you're caught doing something wrong. We've been over this before folks, your word is everything here.

Kasper e-mailed me copies of what appears to be authentic bank wire forms that have been completed. I'll let everyone know as soon as these wires hit my account.

Thanks-
Dan.;)

GREAT NEWS! One of Kasper's wire transfers is in process. This has been verified! The other was sent via a slower method and probably won't hit until Friday and cannot be verified presently.

Kasper is making good on his promise! Thanks Kasper!

Dan. :)

To quote myself: (And answer mine own question since Kasper is banned)

I have goten a reply (by e-mail) to this question.
I shipped a Buck/Strider as trade for a Becker TacTool,
He say that customs stoped the B/S because it's illegal
to own in Denmark and That they should be sending it back
to me (He say he will check with customs in the morning)
and that he mailed the TacTool alittle over a month ago.
(USPS say that [If they shipped it] it would take 4-7 weeks [He shipped ground])

So as up in the air as the deal is, I can't find any proof
that Kasper isn't telling the truth! So I will trust and wait.

I do not think Kasper (Buck 112) should be banned from this forum. He is making everything right with those he traded with. Since I am one of the injured parties, I believe that I should have a say in this.

Dan. ;)

At this point, I would disagree with banning Kasper. He made a mistake. We all make mistakes. How mistakes are dealt with shows the character of the individual.

At this moment, Kasper seems to be coming through.

Great to see that things seem to be working out. I think that Kasper has earned a second chance. Hopefully he has learned his lesson and he will become a valued member of this forum.

How can you call these acts 'Mistakes'? When one engages in multiple counts of theft and makes them right AFTER being caught, how can you simply dismiss this as a mistake.

These were intentional. Kasper "purposely" engaged in conduct with the intent to keep the property of others and then on many occassions gave the impression that his end of the deal was in the process when he knew they were not.

What he did is THEFT. Want to forgive his criminal conduct? great. Want to chalk it up as an act of immaturity? great. Want to call it a mistake? These acts were no mistakes. Getting CAUGHT was Kasper's mistake.

Now he needs to make good on everything he did and pay the price for his conduct. He screwed several people and you guys wanna pat him on the back?

I cannot wait until the next guy comes along, establishes himself and then engages in five or six knife deals at once and leaves the five or six waiting for their "new" knives to arrive.

Then they realize they have been "taken" and try to get the guy to respond. He finally does, after a series of lies, and starts to make good on his thefts. then you will just forgive him?

"You are only as good as your word"

Yup, rant off...........Ira:confused:
