Don't trade with Buck 112

Please, could all of those members that were supposed to get their knives back from Buck112 keep the rest of us informed as to how things go. Also let us know if he sends you proof that he shipped the original trades to you.

I played a small part in one of these transactions (call it a "middle man"). I have privately emailed Kasper asking for the truth and have received a response he needs to post here (and I've asked him to post here)...it should come from him. If not, I will post his response.

Patience.

Ron and the rest of you.

"I cant present these documents at the moment".

This is the sentence I wrote to Ron.

Now listen up everybody I am in no way trying to state that I am not guilty. There is much truth in what Ira says "you are a snake". I really feel like a snake and I cant do anything about it besides trying to make things right (as they were before I started the tradings). My main goal right know is to get everybody their belongings back. I will do this and then afterwords I will leave these forums for a long time (untill I have grown up). The main problem with these forums is that you get carried away when you are a newbie. The internet is a good thing but it often make people crazy. I am not asking for your pity or good will. I am only asking for a chance to make things right. I have this chance right know and I wont let it slip away. I will return everything as promised and then you will have heard the last of me for a loooong time (a ban wouldnt hurt).

Furthermore: When the packages has been shipped this monday, I will present photgrahic evidence (invoices and reciepts) to the persons involved. They can choose to post this material if they want.

Everyone,

Kasper has now said that he does not have the documents (in his email to me, he added "they have all been lost").

Give him the day on Monday (the first available business day), and maybe Tuesday, to post these packages back and to ready the pictures of the documents. At that time, we will know if he is sincere about fixing his problems.

To Kasper: I suggest that you send the packages back the best and fastest way possible, including a way that will allow the recipient to fully track his package himself. This will cost more money, but at this point, the rebuilding of your credibility is on the line.

Buck,

That's being a man about it. Everyone is depending on your words which now, you have a chance to re-prove yourself.

I've watched this unfold, and i must say i am hopeful and optimistic regarding Kasper. I've overseen many young folks whose misdeeds required far more to redeem themselves than his transgressions, yet he has displayed the RARE acknowledgement and contrition so essential to mold one's character in a positive way.

How often have we seen public figures with criminal conduct who apologize with "I'm sorry you were offended, i'm sorry my family is suffering, etc. etc." Kasper forthrightly admits that what he did was wrong, 'I'm a snake etc.' and vows to make right all the transactions. Kasper, make something positive happen from this, forge your own character in the heat directed your way by the fine folks on this forum.

We will all hear objective findings of your conduct. Be sure to clear up all deals. And beware the traps of the internet; the sense of anonymity is illusory, and reputations are are very tough to reshape, as in ten times as hard to rebuild as to maintain.

Fellow forumites, we can and must watch out for ourselves--fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. But I would much rather see young folk develop their values, painfully at times, than see another new knife.....(wait a minute, what's that posting over on the "Custom" board? ) :-}

Dr. Norman (I assume it's "Dr." as a U. Prof.),

I am expectant and optimistic as well...as I cautiously hold my breath. Your thoughts are especially insightful into the ways of youthful behavior and penitence. You are in the fortunate position to mold scores of youth in both knowledge and character for our future. If I could have a "redo," I might be in your shoes.

With Kasper, we will know shortly if it be “shame on us.”

Thanks for your visit here.

I certainly will.

Also let us know if he sends you proof that he shipped the original trades to you.

We already have the answer.:( :footinmou

Thanks for the e-mails too from many of you, I appreciate it.:)

If Kasper ships all of the knives back, in my eyes he will have fully redeemed himself. It takes a bigger man than most to admit you made a mistake and make everything right again. If he comes through for us, I will trade with him in the future.

Dan: I agree. I will too, though I will probably ask for proof of shipment prior to sending something out...

...That's for DARN sure. But I'm talking about eBay. I registered there a few months ago, and now I have crap at home (from my un-controllable "bidding", and greed "to win") that I'll never use and didn't really need.:(.

...Anyhow, Buck 112; We are all counting on you to "do the right thing" now, and we are are watching for you to earn your "second chance" to be a productive member of BladeForums.

Hi guys.

I too made a trade with Kasper, and apparently will be receiving my Strider MT back. I, too, forgive him for his faux-pas and think he is doing the right thing in returning the knives.

I e-mailed him pretty extensively prior to the trade, and he is a nice kid, just made some bad judgements. I remember when I was sixteen... I did some pretty stupid stuff myself.

Just make good here Kasper, and I won't hold a grudge against you.

Kasper could have logged off and not responded at all, and there would be nothing any of us could have done about it, but he has admitted what he did, and let's just see what happens.

Update:
I spent most of the day (Monday) trying to find a company that were willing to make the shipments. I didnt find any companys that would do this. I also tried the Danish posatl-service but they wouldnt insure anything above 100$ so it seems shipping them wont work.
Instead of sipping the knives I will simply buy them. This will make me broke for half a year or so (student). But I think that I might be able to sell them here in Denmark.
I have already made the first money-transfer (to Dan). It should clear within the next 48hrs (that was what I was told in the Bank). I will mail the rest of you that has been involved in trades with me. I will be needing some info, which I will specify in my mails. It would be a great help if one of you would act as an cashier and devide the money among the people involved. This is something I ask because there are a lot of money involved in this.

oh..and Dave i am 18;).

Kasper,
Are you 18 or 24 years old (I looked at your bio)? Also, I need a tracer for the wire that you sent me. Sometimes they call them tracking numbers or sequence numbers or tracers. The wire will probably go to a member bank in New York and then on to me. Hopefully I'll have it by tomorrow sometime. Maybe you could scan and e-mail me a copy of your receipt.

Thanks-
Dan.

Dave, I'm a nice guy, but not that nice!

Dan.

Update:
Striderman has agreed to be the cashier in this whole project. tomorrow the money will be transferred to him for further distribution. I have offered everybody retail-prices for their merchandise (even the used knives). This will be the fastest and most painless for all. Most of the people I have traded with wanted something else than their original knives, so know they will recieve money to buy something else. As I said before it is the most painless, and I am not willing to take any risks this time. Everybody will get what they want.

Buck 112 (Kasper) has asked me to be a cashier. At his request, he would like to wire me funds to distribute to the other members that he owes money to. I'll keep everyone posted.

Dan.
