Actually, given the sheath issues, it's more likely to up than down.

I've moved over from a user/collector mentality to a user mentality about my knives, but I am still sorely tempted to order another because of the possibility of the limited run. However, it would just sit in a lock box, and I'd rather someone else get that "second" knife, try it out, and post praise (like I expect to with my first one). That dynamic is what will keep this model going.
Okay, you may have just swung me toward a second one.![]()
how about an option of shipping with either no sheath, or an specops sheaths or an ESEE sheath? many options. heck, even kydex.
Doug, can you answer a question I have about the knife? Do the balancing inserts sit flush with the tang, or do they stick out a little?
I'm contemplating micarta scales for this knife (which will be heavier than Grivory anyway), and I wonder if I'll have to remove the inserts, or possibly mod the micarta.

I was actually serious about being fine without the stock sheath. I already have ordered a Spec-Ops short for this knife. On the Camillus knives, once I upgraded sheaths, I never had any impulse to go back to the stock version.
They stick out. You would have to drill relief holes in the Micrataif you left them in. I strongly suspect you'll want the weights removed with Micarta, but as I haven't any to test with, I cannot say that from experience.
Remember that with the weights in the knife has neutral balance. So keeping the weights and adding heavier handles would really move the balance towards the handle a significant amount.
I can post pics of Bladite's first one. Because I've always suspected he's covertly in my house, touching my knives, I've had to fight back with hidden webcams all over his place.
I've been burned.
Are you trying to say my chicken looks flamboyant?
