Down time knife WIP

I got these pix of the finished sheath from Mr. Ray yesterday. I think it turned out real nice. Thanks Ray. :)

Way cool stuff guys. THANKS for sharing your process!

So what are you calling the ensemble, "The Big Prick-ly" ?

Thanks guys.
Not sure what we'll call it... technically it's "Wild Geezers #3". Working with Ray is a real pleasure.

Once I get it back, I just need to do the final finish and assembly and it will be done. :)

I got the sheath and knife back from Mr. Ray last week. Thanks Ray. I sweetened the finish up a bit, did the final assembly and sharpened it... All done.

I think I’ll call it a Wild Geezers “Western E-nep“.

I like it even better with the final blade finish. And that handle pin assembly is brilliant. Tai, the handle pin doesn't go all the way through the handle.... does it? If not, why, ....just aesthetics?

Thanks.

No, it goes through the tang from just one side. Just aesthetics I guess,... but it does pin through the tang, which adds a bit of security. I liked the asymmetry of the stag and just went with it. The third pic from the top shows the other side.

Wild Geezers gone wild indeed! I really appreciate Ray's description of how he's doing those sheaths
as well as this execution of this one. The final combination is outstanding!
