Down to 5 of your folders

This changes all the time for me, but I would probably go with these in no particular order. I usually keep 25-40 folders, though, and keep them in rotation.
  • Strider SNG
  • Spyderco Military
  • Spyderco Native (2009 Forum Knife)
  • Victorinox One-Handed Trekker
  • Chris Reeve Dog Paws Sebenza

A.G. Russell Acies
Benchmade Skirmish BK1
Spyderco Manix C95
Ontario Hossom Retribution 1
Spyderco Sage 2

** I have a new ZT0551 arriving sometime this coming week and it's always possible that it could crack the top five...who knows?

On my 4th post to this thread, and yes, things do change, at least for me!:D

Two that would stay the same as my post in 1/2011 are,

3- a medium sized slipjoint. As of now, undecided.
4- Spyderco Vallotton Sub Hilt

Hmmm...

Benchmade Griptilian 551
Kershaw Blur S30V
Kershaw NRG
Spyderco Rookie
Spyderco Ladybug 3

It's funny how your tastes change over time. I stumbled upon this old answer of mine from 2009. Now, 3 of those knives have been sold or traded away and the Blur is in the safe and never carried anymore. Here would be my new list...

Benchmade Mini-Griptilian, 154CM, Black, PE
Spyderco Delica 4, VG-10, Black, PE
Spyderco Delica 4, ZDP-189, British Racing Green, CE
Spyderco Endura 4 FFG, VG-10, Blue, PE
Spyderco Ladybug 3 Salt, H1, Yellow, PE

That would give me a nice, small keychain knife, a larger tactical folder and 3 good, medium sized knives which is what I prefer for EDC. I do regret selling the Spyderco Rookie. That was a nice knife that you can't find anymore.

I'm literally down to 7 knives after selling most of them away so this is easy now.

1. CRK Sebenza 21
2. Spyderco Sage 2
3. Spyderco Paramilitary 2
4. Emerson CQC-7W
5. Spyderco ZDP Stretch

My top 5 for now (until I can get my hands on a CRK Large Sebenza):

Spyderco Military
Spyderco Lum Chinese w/ Carbon Fiber handles
Spyderco Citadel
Cold Steel Rajah 1
Microtech Halo V;)

I was curious as to which knives were the most popular on this thread so I did a count. Not a exact science but I did the best I could. The results through post #236 are below.
TOTALS
Benchmade – 140

Hmmm. Toughy.
Spyderco Gayle Bradley
Benchmade 950BK-1001
Benchmade 942
Case Swayback Jack
And I guess my Spyderco CTS-20CP Para2

I like CPM-M4 a lot. Debating about picking up one of those CPM-M4 Presidios and CPM-M4 Manix2s.

This is hard. 6 would make my life really easy but that would defeat the purpose of the thread

1) Chris Reeve Small Sebenza 21 (my main EDC)
2) Kirby Lambert Small Orion (my custom collectible)
3) Victorinox Pioneer (my slipjoint for when I need to be PC)
4)Strider SnG (the beefy knife)
5)Spyderco Paramilitary 2 (the slicing demon)

Would love to take my Emerson Mini A-100 but I am the type to cover my bases and that would make 2 small daily EDC's.
