Dozier Bushcrafter

Pura Vida.
Kydex is noisy and insecure. It's more mall ninja crap.
The only one I ever had was from Hankins."Blinker". Great knife. Crap Kydex sheath.

CHU CHUNK rattle rattle CHA CHUNK. :jerkit:
The local shoemaker quickly fixed that problem:cool: $15. Safe and soundLESS .;)

There are reports of many maladies incurred with the result of steel coming thru leather while in the field. Tumbling down an embankment, sliding down a slippery slope into the water, or even falling off from rocks and down from a tree. That' s a poor $15 investment. :) Kydex will help to minimize this greatly. Kydex is a long term investment. It is strong, form fitting, impervious to many outdoor environments and relatively lightweight. If one insists on leather, the Dozier shop can make one for you... with a form fitting kydex liner sewn in! The best of both worlds? How' s that?

A quality leather sheath is very safe and secure. A quality kydex sheath is very safe and secure. A quality sheath is a quality sheath, regardless of material. It all comes down to personal taste.

I've bought 2 Dozier knives over the years, the first one in 95,and have never been disappointed in either one.Bobs knives tought me what sharp was all about. He's one of the pioneers of kydex sheaths and they are superb. His D2 is absolutely awesome! What more can you say about this mans knives?Anyway Ebb,congrats on a great knife, enjoy!!!

I have a few Doziers/ Crotts and I am still amazed at the performance of these knives!! I used a Crotts to field dress 6 whitetails over a 2 day period. The edge did NOT need touching up.. I had my field strop with me when I got back to the house, I made a 4-5 passes and I SWEAR that knife was sharper than when I got it.. These knives are addicting, but that beind said " you could probably get by with 2-3 Doziers and have all your bases covered for life. Knives to me don't follow the old axiom " Beware of the man with one gun, for he surely knows how to use it" My Axiom for Doziers is " The man that only has one, surely has never used it"

My Bushcraft in CTS-40CP-- Not that I was afraid of D2.. this became available and I grabbed it. With this scandi grind, it is the sharpest knife I own.
