Dr T. Knives?

Picked up at the post today!
Needed to capture a couple images before I start getting them grubby.

WOW! Very cool, I always thought the tequila sunrise would look great on a traditional folder. Love it!

Thank you Nick for sending me the burlap micarta for these knives. I was unaware this material was even available. I think it has a unusual look and finishes out nicely. Enjoy, and thank you for you interest in my knives.

You make a great looking knife! And thanks to Nick for sending this along to you.

That's a nice looking piece. And that canvas one in the previous post I really like the look of.

I really like the Doctors work. He's just getting to another one for me, and we just talked this weekend setting up an equal end jack to make for me. He's a great maker and fun to deal with.

If you've been in the fence about getting a custom, a Dr. T knife is a great way to go. Not to say there aren't many other very talented makers here on the forums too. And on the net of course.

I like the Doc's work very much, we had a number of fun conversations at the Blade this year. He is a kind and benevolent man

who is thrilled that people pay him for something he so deeply enjoys and it shows in the final result. Having a "hobby" such as knife making

is it's own reward, a creative outlet is a seriously emotional part of life and the Doc has been very blessed. I wish him continued success.

Very nice and fitting summary Jeff.

I enjoyed meeting ,and talking, with Dave at the Blade Show.Hopefully something very good will come of it,I'm sure.:)

Lot of CF'ing and CE'ing going on here.
Deeply touched to say the least!

Here are the 2 Lanny Clips I have acquired from other members of BF. I am on the Dr.'s list for a custom gent's knife and I look forward to the build.

My new 2 blade EO that I asked Dr. T to make for me arrived today. This would be his first two blade EO that he's made, and the second EO in general. Myself ordering/buying his first, a single bladed EO.

His fit and finish just came out spot on. He used some vintage Westinghouse micarta that he had a little of on hand. Took a great finish and really looks good on there. ATS-34 blades. I'm anticipating the small wharnie to really be an effective little slicer. Can't recommend his work enough. I've also a eureka jack he made and all three of mine that's he's made now are great quality. He is also very pleasant to work with.

That is spectacular!! I love Westinghouse micarta.

Perfect edc knife right there, and you're right, that wharnie will be invaluable for sure.

I took your advice and placed an order for a medium gunstock jack, can't wait.

Good call guy - a gunstock is next for me too from the Dr.

Already looking forward to it. :)

Can't believe I was the last person to post in this thread too......

Received a nice package in the mail today. My new Dr. T Gunstock pattern he made for me. David did a really good job on it, as usual. The old Boker covers and the matchstriker nail pull on the main blade really give it a nice traditional look I think. Outstanding fit & finish throughout.

The bone on this one is a match to my Eureka Jack that I've had for awhile now.

If anyone is considering getting something custom made I can't recommend David enough. He nicely put up with all my dumb questions and pestering and made something for me I'm proud to own and keep to pass on.

I'm already considering my next project. The first two pics are courtesy of Dr. T, and the bottom one is a pic of my modest Dr. T collection.
