driezeinaz driezeinaz He means the subject line has a 'Mixed' review header next to it.

There is NO mistaking that it is BAD all the way. Mixed is a little of both.

Sigh. Hard to read and comprehend this maker's actions.

Thanks. That makes sense.

I wrote off my $1300 payment to him from 2014 some time ago. I see these updates and it is just a sad reminder of the broken trust from Dwaine. Lesson learned. Burned once and won’t happen again.

Dwaine Carrillo here,

I'm going to do the best I can to make things right with everyone I owe knives to. If I owe you a knife, send me an email to dcarrillo5080@gmail.com (new email address) and verify I owe you a knife. I will send you $150.00 via a payment method I have not figured out since I lost my PayPal account, but I will get it figured out.

As many of you who know me on a personal level already know, I was stricken with a very crippling/deadly autoimmune disease called 'Dermatomyositis' a few years back. It got so bad I could barely walk; I was dizzy all the time, and felt like I was dragging my legs through 4 ft. of mud with every step. Got to the point I could not work. This resulted in me getting way behind on pre-paid orders for customers and dealers. I apologize, it was a bit out of my control until I found a cure.

It got to the point I could not work enough to pay my bills/rent and I was evicted December 31st (New Years Eve 2018 I believe) because I could not pay my rent. At $1,000.00 a knife, it normally isn't too hard to pay the rent, but I was in serious trouble, physically. I was evicted (rightfully so) and ended up going back to the house to get my Cats. The police dept. showed up a few minutes later (neighbor called the law on me), and was arrested for trespassing. Had to go to jail until about 1:00AM that next morning. There was a blizzard here in OKC and I walked home from the police station. Doing so in a pair of shorts and a T-Shirt I was admitted into the hospital with a condition known as Rhabdomyolysis in ICU for four days to recover.

When I got back to the house that morning my truck was gone (landlord had it towed, still reported as stolen). The day of the eviction I was given 15 minutes to vacate the property. I had nowhere to move my home belongings and shop equipment to, so the lady I was renting from got it all. I lost everything, even the CNC machine. I eventually got the furniture back but NONE of the shop equipment. I lost it all. There is a statute in OK stating a landlord could not take "tools of trade" but the landlord was able to convince a judge that 2 car garage full of my equipment was not filled with my tools of trade (welcome to the JUSTUS system, eh?).

I had nothing. I had to move in with a few great friends who helped me out. Got a job at a machine shop riding home on a bicycle everyday (buddy would give me a ride to work in the mornings with my bike in the bed of the truck and I'd ride home 5 miles everyday). I've had a few side jobs and have saved up a few bucks. I'm trying to make things right with the men (a few women) I owe money to. I want to get back into the knife making game, but I realize I must make the best effort I can to make things right with people. I do not want to go down in history as a piece of shit knife maker who did not fulfill his obligations to his loyal customers. I don't have much money yet, but I have enough to pay the 25 to 30 people I owe knives $150.00 bucks as an interest payment until I can get a shop rebuilt and start making knives again.

I can pay you $150.00 cash and build you another knife once I get the shop rebuilt (I have acquired some property with a shop on it already). My deepest and sincere apologies to all of you. I had a medical condition that really knocked me on my ass but I'm doing the best I can to make a comeback with what money I have saved and keep good to my word.

Dwaine

I hope so, I only did this for 20 years without incident. Who are you again? Do I owe you a knife?
I never liked those monstrosities you call knives so fortunately I avoided all this drama.

Your past reputation means nothing once you decided to begin stealing from people. Now you are only a low life thief with a myriad of excuses who has yet to do a single thing he says. Just do the community a favor and disappear already.

Fuck off, I'm doing what I can to make things right.

Which is what exactly? More empty promises? Brah no one wants a pathetic $150 after all this time and frustration. You are a thief and stole thousands from many. Better go get back on that colostrum drip ASAP.

And are you one I owe money to? Are you saying you wouldn't take a $150.00 interest payment to if I owed you a knife, dipshit?

Look Folks, let's all stay calm. The maker has posted his contact information. Contact him if he owes you money.
I'm going to close the thread for a spell. Can open it later if necessary.
