If communities want to put together a volunteer SAR, so be it, but the more Government intrusion you get, the more taxes and restrictions EVERYONE is going to suffer.

Your title is that you don't believe in gov't SAR, but what do you call the NATIONAL guard? Or how about the NATIONAL park service? Those are national SAR units. Most SAR units are volunteers, paid only by their own donations or fundraising.
 
My cousin teaches at a school there, I wonder if she knows him?
Something tells me he probably won't end up paying the bill.
