Economic stimulus- Laminated steel give away.

Phiiiiill, hehehe. I know you like Aldo's 1/4x1 so that's about what I made for ya. :)

River sounds like a good description for this layer count and twist amount. Although I wonder if I could drill holes and add bits of 15n20 round bar to the billet to create more "rocks" in the pattern...

I'll try to have it shipped out tomorrow.

For the rest of the winners; the other bars will be ready soon. Thank you for your patience.

That bar is beautiful! I cant wait to see what mine looks like. Thanks again for putting together such a generous giveaway!

My hat's off to you Dan. You're a go getter. Thanks for the give away. I'll be in NH later next week. That River bar looks great. How exciting!

ED4406, You gotta be kidding...
11 posts, nothing useful to say yet, 4 of your posts saying "I'm In" in this very thread, this latest one being what, 3 months too late?

Good Lord Man.

FAIL:grumpy:

isn't it a bit odd, that people with a post count under 20 get into give away threads?

Kinda like they're lurkers who just want shit for free?

sorry:grumpy:

Dont be sorry, it's insane, people always wanting something for nothing :barf::barf::barf: hahaha, oh boy, i guess it takes all kinds to make the world's motor spin round and round, i guess those kind are the crank shaft in the motor

I was just randomly thinking that maybe reading the whole thread before you post helps a lot!

Even if the thread is 10 pages long.

Hi Friends,

I just got in at my folks in NH tonight, which is where I had Dan send his beautiful bar of lazy twist damascus. Well you guys cussed me out enough for winning (plus for scoring some ivory scraps from the For Sale forum) that it has had its effect. I am sad to report the flat rate mailing envelope arrived here with a corner ripped just about an inch, thus no steel was inside. Talk about can't win for losing. Don't worry about replacing it Dan. You've done way more than enough with your generosity. You might want to reconsider your packaging and shipping methods though.

All the best, Phil
