Ed Fowler You Need to open your eyes

Why Have I been noticing that knife shows seem more upbeat(at least locally) than gun shows? I beleive its cause the guy at a gun show is trying to make a buck, and the guy(maker) at a knife show has his heart and soul on the table wether it sells or not. When I first read one of Eds books I had been making knives for some time and always searching for better handle material. Ed had in the book use whatever is available, at that time I started putting wood burls (super glue) under glass. About the same time I started messing around with cow shin bones and dying it-today those two materials are my most used handle materials.
